After seeing Pike in action, I would love a pre-TOS Enterprise show

Well unlike @Kor I would actually like to see a series in the 24th or 25th century. Which why I’m excited to see the new Picard series even if picard is not in starfleet. Would like like to see the federation post nemesis. Also we didn’t see all of the 24th century. We missed a lot from 2300-2364
Or if there going to do another one why don’t they just do one some where between 2170s- 2220s. Good chunk we didn’t see. Because while I can see why people just like the 23 century. The 24th century’s is pretty good too. I guess I think like that because I found the 24th century more interesting

Given that there will now be shows set in both main Star Trek eras, "one or the other" is a thing of the past. They'll have shows set at different points and we can pick and choose what we want to see.

I'd be interested in a Pike Series but I'm not going to complain about the existence of series set in the 25th Century. If I don't like them, I just won't watch. Same applies to the Pike Series. I know, right? Pretty amazing.

Ok, I think that covers it ;)

Forget pre-TOS, they should just reboot TOS proper in the Discoveryverse. They can do a mix of reimagined TOS episodes and new stuff, kinda like the IDW Kelvinverse comics did.

That's nice, but it's not a distinction based on anything actually presented in Star Trek other than an adjective.

Here's the technological/scientific basis and capability of a Star Trek torpedo:
  • If this week's script calls for the torpedo to be effective against a target, it will be effective;
  • If this week's script calls for the torpedo to fail, it will fail.
Calling it a "quantum" something-or-other has no effect on that whatsoever.

There is an in universe answer. The quantum torpedo is just more powerful because of different science (zero point energy) now while that maybe because of poor writing is no concern to me

Not everyone can spend their adolescence memorizing Star Trek: The Encyclopedia. :alienblush:
I Can. well I have an unfair advantage: an extremely good memory and free time. Although not as much as I use too.
And I meant all writers including non Star Trek shows.
I never got that book. Should have
