I keep putting all my official documents in boxes without any specific order, only each box refers to a period of time. If I ever need something very specific and don't know when I received it, it will take me days even weeks to find it!!! Not to mention that I am starting to worry that these boxes filled with paper could be a fire hazard... Plus I bet that most of these documents could be retrieved if I ever needed them... I already have the important ones in a metal box! What should I do?

I hope to accomplish something important to me today. I'm afraid that if I mention what it is I'll jinx myself, so I won't.

I'll report back whether I was able to accomplish it or not.

I wish that the BBC would do a few series of Dr Who with the Eighth and First Doctors. The events that led the Doctor and Susan to hide on Earth would be good.

So many of the people I talk to are shocked a millennial is buying a home.

35 year olds affording homes used to be normal!

Just tell them to mind their own businesses.

How does being 35 years old make you a millennial?

I thought millennials were people born during this millennium, hence younger than 19.

    Was I wrong?

It’s generally defined as people who reached young adulthood in the new millennium. The range I see quoted is normally around 1982-2003. So I’m right on the border of gens X and Y.

They generally say this after I bring it up in conversation or hire them to help me do so, thus making it their business. :)

It’s not annoying, just surprising how surprised they are.

2 inches of snow does NOT a blizzard make. :brickwall:

Artificial Intelligence doesn't worry me. I find Natural Stupidity far more frightening.

Then tell them you're a Xennial, and then maybe they'll only be half-shocked. ;)

BTW, congratulations on your upcoming purchase!

If there was high winds with snow blowing around sufficiently to impair visibility, it can be considered a blizzard without heavy snow.

I failed to complete what I wanted to do.

I did try, though. I tried, and promptly broke a rather important part of what would make it possible. Now I need to try to get a replacement part, which will mean several days of waiting at the very least.

I didn't break the most important bit of that part, of course. No, I broke the flat cable that allowed that part to work. The cable that is permanently attached to that part and cannot be replaced on its own.

LCD 3d printer. I was upgrading the mechanical parts and, while I was being careful, life had other ideas and the ribbon cable to its LCD screen tore completely in two. Whole screen needs to be replaced.
