News Rebecca Romijn As Number One

That was a fun detail. I like to imagine Kirk got on board and wanted to use one but found out he couldn’t and Scotty told him that they’d have to refit the whole ship just to fix it.
Kirk: PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!!!!!!

Was she stated in the Cage that she was an alien? Could they be playing her as a human here?

Nothing at all was stated about her in The Cage. That was Roddenberry's point. As to whether she's alien or human, maybe a bit of both, metaphorically? Perhaps Illyria was settled as an Earth science colony, with its people advancing to the peak of human potential. They'd have had to sidestep the shenanigans that led to Khan and his wacky bunch, but it would make an interesting story.

I can imagine them maybe 'future proofing' by building an Enterprise bridge set. Given the Picard spin off, I foresee the possibility of a Discoprise series being greenlit. :)

I've been a fan of Rebecca Romijn for years. But I didn't find her appearances on "Discovery" to be a big deal.
