Well i do remember some complaints about that time Sarek tried to blow up Q'onoS...Yeah no. They haven't done anything comparable to that yet.

... and he wasn't the final arbitrator of that decision. So? I don't see anything wrong with that. He acted emotionally, and he regretted it.
I still think they should have Terral on the Picard show and have him reveal he's Tuvok's father... Federation Higher-ups and StarFleet were.
I would go for that. I would rather see the pre Kirk enterprise in action than discovery anyway.
That's not what he said, so don't go making accusations like that without substance. Why is everybody so pissy about Discovery, and why do people want to see its main female character of color be displaced by a white male one?
Based off what? There have been two episodes so far.I doubt if I would bother watching a new show with Pike. Chances are I would probably end up getting bored senseless.
That would be weak now, since we've already seen Pike, Spock and Number One on Discovery in the late 2250s. A series about their adventures a few years prior would also be limited in scope, and wouldn't have much of a narrative flow, since we've already seen what these specific versions of these characters become. A prequel to a prequel, lol.
The better move would have been doing an April series from the start, but Discovery effed that up. I think it best, at this point, to avoid anymore prequel shows.
I think Star Trek: Enterprise jacked up a potential April series as opposed to Discovery. If they had made Star Trek: Enterprise about the original 1701 and had April as the captain instead of Archer that could've been sweet. When I think about it, there's very little they needed to change to make ENT work in the 23rd century. Certainly there would be changes, but the characters for the most part could've remained the same, they could've kept the Temporal Cold War, the Xindi, the Romulans manipulating the Vulcans, etc., etc.
We could still see April eventually... that ship hasn't sailed yet.
I really liked ENT being mid-22nd century, though. Admittedly, I've so been influenced by the novels that a small part of me thinks we saw the Romulan War on screen!
What I liked best about ENT was the connection between our time and the 2150s. The NX-01 was criticized for being more advanced than the Constitution class 100 years later. Me? I was thrilled to see that from the ship design from the uniforms, there were plausible visual connections between today's spacecraft and personnel (especially the ISS) and a fictionalized take 150 years after our time. Marathoning it made me appreciate it even more.
As much criticism as ENT received during its run, being set 100 years before TOS spared it from some of the debate we're seeing about Disco now.
April series
Not sure my Pike would work after seeing the version on DISCO. Oh, well, it was mostly a name drop anyway.Wow. I actually had very similar characters in mind for what I would have done with an April series. Except no Pike, and the Andorian would be a female, because hot blue chick.
Instead of Nogura, I had Stone as the first officer. Commodore Stone from Court Martial. The Black Commodore who hinted that he was once a commanding officer on a starship.
It's a shame April didn't happen, but maybe it's a good thing. Whoever reboots the franchise or gets their hands on it after Bad Robot could potentially start fresh with the maiden voyage of the 1701.

*whispers* I was sort of hoping for an Andorian among the DSC crew.
(Shran is my ultimate Star Trek alien crush. Some of us like blue guys as much as you like blue girls!)
