I'm listening to Pernell Roberts singing Western Songs like They call the wind Mariah or Lily of the West.
I honestly don't think I've ever heard this version before. I do know that I prefer Nena's Deutsche version of 99 Red Balloons.
In honor of the greatest closer of all time, Mariano Rivera, and his UNANIMOUS election to the Baseball Hall of Fame...
What do you think of the 2013 Wacken Open Air version with Floor Jansen? I like the way Floor performs the song a lot personally.
Floor is great and better live than Anette was with the NW stuff. I have all the After Forever CD's and the Showtime, Storytime blu-ray & CD of that concert. Anette gets a lot of grief over something that was not her fault, ie: she wasn't Tarja, but she's a good singer. Here she is with Jani Liimatainen (ex: Sonata Arctica). The first track in particular is very NW Storytime sounding.
Good to see Annette singing again, she is a fine singer, just not a trained soprano, the albums that were written for her vocal style were great, on there she's a perfect fit. I also like Tara's work and voice, to me all three are great singers in their own right.
The Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin Radio Stations are playing it a lot because of the "the land of the ice and snow" bit.
I hate to admit that I don't mind a lot of show tunes, but I am not at all a fan of most opera. Excellent costumes, though!
This, the original Star Trek theme, and one of the songs from Cirque du Soleil's Alegria are the closest things to me appreciating Opera music with voices (I do love a lot of the music from opera, but I'm not a fan of the singing).
