Things that frustrate us all

Not being able to consume anything by mouth after midnight the night before surgery. Blech.

I have come to realise and accept that one of the most potent triggers for my indigestion and reflux problems is red wine.

I love red wine. The way it glugs from the bottle, it’s deep scarlet red. The way no two wines are the same and the flavours dance across the palate with naked abandon. The way it slides down the neck like a flock of lemmings, and the next bottle sings like a rock full of sirens.

I love red wine, but I must let it go.

I fear I may be following suit and I don't even have reflux. Ever since I got sick in December I haven't been able to drink any alcohol without pain...

Oh dear. What sort of pain?
Severe heartburn... to the point where I can't eat or drink anything without using Pepcid or another over the counter acid reducer. I've never had heartburn in my life before except on rare occasion and this is happening after just one glass of wine. When I was sick I had terrible acid buildup from the virus I had and now I seem to be sensitive to all alcohol. And I don't even really drink all that much. Thankfully coffee is not a problem (one would think it would be).

Sounds a bit like how I started, but initially I found that beer soothed it. I had a terrible diet at the time. It was just heart burn to begin with.

Well, I seem to be okay if I just avoid alcohol (food doesn't seem to trigger this new problem)... haven't drank a beer since the summer though. Maybe I'll see if that "soothes" my problem, ha ha.

Do you have allergies? The last time I was in the hospital with pneumonia I had some wicked heartburn. The doctor prescribed allergy medication because the pollen count was way up and it actually helped. I was really surprised because I didn't know the 2 things were related.

Wow that is really interesting. Never heard of seasonal allergies and heartburn being connected though it does make some sense as I ponder it.
My only allergies are to alternaria mold and feathers though, so not sure that would work for me.

When you're at the bakery or whatever and want to get rid of your coins and you're just one cent below the exact change!!! So you end up with even more coins than you had before!!!

When a really useful plugin for a program causes that program to take forever to load.

I haven't had it installed for a while due to this fact, but I installed it again because of its usefulness. Now I'm wondering how useful it really is again.
