    Well I’m
Not a fan of one liners. I like the explanation And I always felt that the song in season 1 and 2 just drags on so slow

Then, as I'm wont to do, I paraphrase the head Talosian: You have your seasons and I have mine. May you continue to find yours as pleasant.

Right let’s just agree to disagree although I think we both agree The series had kinks to work out and that it should have had more seasons period

I would've had the uniforms or patterns and COLOR (avocado green, blue and peach) which could be a precursor what was seen in "The Cage". The spacecraft would be based upon Matt Jefferies's concept drawings of the 1701. I would not have designated the pioneering vessel with NX, this BS was trying to give the impression that designation for prototype vessel was active from the start. It's ridiculous because in order for a space force or later a starfleet to begin there had to be stumbling blocks; I would make it present that all of the ideas for a future Federation wasn't all blueprinted and planned in the pilot. Missions, bad or good, would be stepping stones to what we know from Star Trek 1966; it would be nice to see some of the blunders a pioneering crew had made which would lead into something for the progression in the Star Trek Universe.

I have zero interest in a prequel trek ship going to Warp 5, I would like to see my vision of the ship had maximum speed of Warp 3! Have the crew be blown out of their minds how advance alien ships are and making the crew discover they have lots to learn. War is out of the question because this crew would be pioneers and not space warriors. I can accept the same cast because I believe that ensemble were the best group of actors cast for a Star Trek series; by episode 1 the cast were completely on par and the chemistry was spot on; everything appeared to flow whenever the cast were speaking amongst themselves. Does look of the show means keeping the characters? If so, oh well, but I would not have this series a spin-off of the movie Star Trek: First Contact and I would not have that boring plot the producers contrived in "Broken Bow".

I would've had T'Pol crash on Mars and was seeking help through an emergency radio signal. Earth picks this signal up and the crew of the USS Chandra XCV - 090 commanded by Scott Archer, not Jonathan, played by Bakula to seek out this alien distress signal. They recover T'Pol and she reveals herself to be Vulcanian but doesn't remember who she is. The crew returns to Earth and have a discussion with Space Command, what's known is T'Pol would be the 13th sighting of an extraterrestrial within the range of space travel from our solar system and Alpha Centauri where Zefram Cochrane is from... originally. The crew retrieve a map of worlds far beyond their reaches from the Vulananian ship while also disputing what had happened to the creator of the space warp? The crew decides to seek out these new worlds as T'Pol tags along and hopefully they find or discover this orange world called Vulcan.

I have to be honest I have trouble with an established alien physician being a part of a pioneering crew going into space. Since I have to keep the cast member and the character I would make Plox one of the sightings humans has discovered and treated well and happens to be a Doctor but is not the ship's surgeon, I can't have that. I love the look of the Daedalus concept but I believe that design was still too advanced to be considered a pioneering ship, so I would use Jefferies' intriguing XCV-330 design. The weapons would be on par with ones seen in "The Cage" and the transporter is something that is significant to Star Trek so I'm keeping it but I would set up some limitations to it. I'm not interested in a ship landing on a planet in the world of Trek; the conventions should be honored with respect to those who put their careers on the line in 1966.

The dangers for the series would be the equivalent of a civilized society journeying into the depth of the amazon forests, full of diseases and plagues, and other unexpected trouble. Boldly going where no man has gone before.

Nice but seems too basic for 2150’s would have to be around late 2000 early 2100. Just seems like in 87 years humans would be more advanced than that other than that it’s a good idea. One last thing Chandra why not enterprise ?

Because Enterprise the title could've shared other meanings beside the ship, and I'd rather have a ship other than the name Enterprise.

It's interesting to know in Star Trek, space travel was happening during the 1990's; and I'm a firm believer TOS was set in the 22nd Century and not the 23rd.

Well try some thing naval because you did use uss. so space comand is that US or earth
So what tng ds9 and voyager were set in the 23 century and the crew time were all of by 100 years and during the voyager home Scotty was wrong in saying “sorry sir, we can’t even do that in the 23 century” I just hope those uniforms have better rank insignia than the ones in The Cage

No. TNG was established to be in the 24th Century. I don't care much about the years difference from canon fodder, but in TOS there are two episodes "Space Seed" and "Tomorrow is Yesterday" explicitly hints the crew of the Enterprise time period is in the 22nd Century.

What do you mean by try something naval, in what way? Space Command would be in Space close to Earth; it's Earth. US and a coalition of the planet join together to form an interstellar space travel organization before the Eugenics Wars. It was founded a year after "Tomorrow is Yesterday" in the Star Trek timeline of 1967.

Your using USS in your name only the United States and the federation use this designation. So that’s why I thought it could be just the US. Naval like Saratoga, Norfolk, Southampton, Odyssey, etc
"I am going to lock you up for two hundred YEARS!"
"That ought to be just about right."
I assume your using this to justify saying that tos is in the 22nd century. I doubt Kirk is being serious about that he is 200 years In the future. Also so is original movie series is the 22nd or 23 century because again is Scotty wrong when he says “sorry sir, we can’t even do that in the 23rd century” what Scotty is a brilliant engineer that gets the date wrong
Also since you are making these changes you are changing the look. While in the end that doesn’t really matter, the thread is making enterprise better not scraping it and starting from new. But again that doesn’t really matter since there aren’t any rules. Also Thanos this is not meant for you

TOS movies are it's own entity entirely where the Enterprise was 20 years old which I surely doubt. If you're basing your belief everything fits from TOS to the movies that's fine, but I see it different and I'm not too interested in the connecting the dot gimmick done tirelessly wrong in those Chronology books. TOS is truth for me and in their timeline is in the 22nd Century. Can you quote from "Space Seed" too; maybe you'll also doubt Kirk was being serious to Noonien Singh when he asked the year he had awaken to?

    USS means United Space Ship

USS also means United States Ship (where did you think GR got it from) so excuse me if I get confused by knowing real world facts.
But really all your edvidence is some lines a show that has a lot of continuity errors. So your basing that tos takes place in 22nd by a couple of lines that it was probably a writer mistake. They were and are common. Also your two pieces of edvidence are a little conflicting. You see in tomorrow is yesterday when Kirk says 200 years it’s possible he meant 2167. Also we know that khan launch his ship in the 1990’s when Kirk said he had 200 years of catch up learning to do that adds up to 2190s. And yes I did re watched it an when Kirk says 200 year that Kahn has stayed asleep is probably a another mistake. So between tomorrow is yesterday and space seed which are reasonable close is 20+ years. Wow that’s a big jump in the course of a few episodes. That shows they weren’t consistent.
And by the way the enterprise wasn’t 20 years old I the search for Spock it was 40. Admiral morrow meant around 20 years since refit so it does fit.
Also if tos does take place in the 22nd century and you say TNG takes place in 24 century. Spock is very active in the 24 century considering by your time he is well over 200 years old since he is born in 2233 or 2133 in your timeline. That can’t be because I believe Vulcans can only live around 200 years. During unification which takes place in 2368 he would be by your timeline 235 years. While maybe a Vulcan could live that long I doubt he would be very active as to sneak onto Romulus. Or how about Tuvok he was an officer on the excelsior and voyager. So since Vulcan live long it’s fine since he was a junior officer o. The excelsior. But on voyager by your timeline which is 170ish years later he in starfleet but only a LT and by then he should be getting too old for security.

If I could've created the show here are some things I would have done or done differently:
-Named it Star Trek: Phoenix. I wouldn't have gotten into the canon kerfuffle with an S.S. Enterprise before THE Enterprise we all knew. That being said, for show names, Phoenix if it takes place before the Romulan War. And Star Trek: Federation if it takes place after the war. (That being said, if the studio insisted on using the name Enterprise, I would've liked using the USS Enterprise XCV 330 as the hero ship).
-I didn't like the NX-class at first, but it grew on me over time, but still I might had something that didn't look as futuristic as it did. And I would've had Daedalus-class ships on the show, not as the hero ship, but they would be there when scenes required some more ships. I also would've used the XCV 330 ships. I also spread some of the design aesthetics we came to know to various worlds, like having one race using saucer-hull ships, another with the familiar nacelles, etc. so that the Federation ships, including Enterprise 1701 and other ships for example is an amalgamation of various influences to reflect how the various worlds came together to form the Federation. (For the Federation idea, I would have shown all kinds of alien vessels that made up Starfleet, not just the style we are familiar with).
-Made the crew all human for the Phoenix idea. I would've tried to show how the 'human adventure is just beginning'.
Jolene Blalock could still be on the show as a human who lived on Vulcan and had adopted Vulcan philosophy. (For the Federation idea, I would have a ship that is crewed by various members of the fledgling Federation and show them working through their cultural differences as well as exploring and defending the Federation).
-Mayweather would have had more to say and add as a Boomer, bringing that experience in. He also might have some disagreements, and sparks with Science Officer Sato (though I might change the roles here and have Sato as the Boomer and Mayweather as the science officer). Blalock would be the communications officer/anthropologist/linguist who has spent time on various alien worlds, and doesn't mesh well with Trip (who largely stays the same). Not sure if I would give the captain the same conflict with the Vulcans that Archer had (or just change the cause of it, or deepen it). Though if I did, he would not always be right and the Vulcans would not always be wrong or jerks, and that over time he would learn to appreciate some of what they said and how they approached things. Also, if the captain had issues with Vulcans, I could see Blalock being their advocate, and their pick to be his first officer, and United Earth conceding to that, which already sets their relationship up for fireworks. He would develop an empathy. Reed would be a MACO and Section 31 from jump. Harris would have been on the show earlier.
-I would've built on the idea I read about that the captain and Mayweather were closer. Perhaps the captain and one of Mayweather's parents served together. I would have put a war in the captain's past. Perhaps with the Nausicaans or Kzinti, so he's got some scars-mental and physical.
-Beefed up the Terra Prime idea. They would have been recurring villains in the show. I would've showed a more complex, complicated view of humans.
-No Starfleet in Phoenix. I liked the idea that Starfleet came from all the different worlds coming together, as opposed to it already being an Earth thing that others just joined.I liked the idea of the United Earth Stellar Navy from Star Trek: The Beginning idea and would've used something similar. So you have this issue of the more military approach versus the science approach and the state of the art S.S. Phoenix is where this conflict will play out. It's a mix of soldiers and scientists.
-I would have kept diversifying the Trek leads, perhaps with a Latino captain (Benjamin Bratt or Jimmy Smits perhaps?), and diversified the crew more. I also would have expanded the roles for the ensemble cast. I would not have emulated the TOS Big Three.
-I would not have had the Klingons in the series, except maybe in the series finale and dealing with a disastrous first contact with them.
-For the Phoenix idea, the Andorians would be the recurring antagonists until the Romulan War and eventually become frenemies and then allies. I would have kept Shran the same. Instead of Future Guy, it's the Romulans behind the scenes and they are using the Nausicaans or Syndicate as their henchmen, instead of the Suliban. The Romulans are also manipulating the Xindi, Vulcans, and maybe even some humans.
-For either the Phoenix or Federation idea, I would have had more Tholians, Nausicaans, Syndicate, and if able, the Kzinti.
-For the Phoenix idea, I would begin the series a few years closer to the Romulan War, and build up to that. However, I might not do multiple seasons of the war, but instead do a two to four hour special that focuses on the war and then the following season pick up after the war is over.

I like the idea of Bratt or Smits as captain. Bratt as brash action oriented captain and Smits as more cerebral.

I've thought about this subject long and hard, so here we go:
    - Lean into the perception of Vulcans "holding humanity back" more heavily in terms of Archer and Trip's backstory and attitudes

    - Omit the character of Phlox in favor of a Human CMO

    - Omit the Klingons and the Suliban as being the cause of the Enterprise's mission and place T'Pol aboard the ship as a "compromise" by Starfleet Command in order to get the Vulcans to drop their objections to the ship's launch

    - Introduce the Temporal Cold War more gradually

    - Put more early focus on individually exploring the characters and the evolving crew dynamic

    - Keep the term "Star Trek" off of the series for the entirety of its run, even if pressured by studio executives

Thanks. Though another idea I've had before and just remembered was Dennis Quaid as the captain and Louis Gossett Jr. as his admiral mentor. "Enemy Mine" reunion.

No! USS CHANDRA means UNITED SPACE SHIP CHANDRA.

As for the retcons, I'm not interested in the canon fodder.

When then your in the minority on this because plenty others disagree. Although of course there is nothing wrong in being in the minority.
Just to clarify what is the canon fodder you are taking about (i know the definition of cannon fodder)
