The best tv show Ever

Best is in the Eye of the Beholder so if you think it's the best ever then it means from your perspective it is indeed the best ever. Me I like it a great deal but not to the point where it's the best ever. I'm not even sure if it's the best Trek. I sort of debate with myself if I like it or TOS better. I think I usually side on "TOS" because of KIrk,SPock and McCoy you just can't be beat but it's a close call.

They are totally different shows from DS9, but I also like MASH and Yes, Minister/Yes, Prime Minister too much to call them NOT the best show.

I also like Law & Order SVU. It's quite long-running and had many Trek actors as guest stars.

I will also say it's the best show to have the word Deep or the letter 9 in it's title.

It's the best Trek series IMO. If you feel it's the best series ever, more power to you.

I also love Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Seinfeld, Blackadder, House Of Cards, The Handmaid's Tale, The Haunting Of Hill House... those series are so disparate in genre and tone it would be impossible for me to pick my "best"...

That's a non-answer, of course it's her opinion. I was actually trying to get something out of her to add some meat to this barebones thread, the first post is just a declarative statement.

While Trek has a special place in my heart, and it's probably the thing that I watch the most, my vote for "best TV show ever" goes to Mad Men without hesitation.

Objectively, scientifically the best Trek of course. Can't say anything about the best series ever (I'm inclined to give that to Monty Python's Flying Circus), but it's the best non-comedy series I know.

I can name ten non trek tv shows that are better than DS9.

In no particular order:

Parks and Recreation
Veronica Mars
Battlestar Galactica (the new one)
Mary Tyler Moore
Cheers
ER
I Love Lucy
The Good Place
The Sopranos
The Wire

And I made that list without thinking about it too much so these aren't the ten best shows in my opinion, they're just the first ten that came to mind when I thought about what's better than DS9.

And that doesn't mean DS9 isn't a great show, it absolutely is, it's just not that great that it sits on a throne above everything else.
