In The Voyage Home, when Scotty says to the man at the Plexicorp factory "I've come millions of miles...", and McCoy corrects him "Thousands!"

The kicker of that scene... Scotty was actually right.
^ No, that is also correct.
Another favorite little moment: In "Friday's Child" when McCoy demonstrates his knowledge of Capellan culture. Like the bit where he says "What the Klingon says is unimportant and we do not hear his words" (i.e. he just called the Klingon a liar).

Good pointTbh I only knew that because I watch everything with subtitles. (IMO Americans tend to mumble so I have to watch with subtitles - I’m English )
Good point
I had to watch most of Discovery with subtitles on due to whispering and mumbling
The Series "The 100" is really bad for it as well
I'm Scottish by the way, no one understands me anyway.
I can never make out what Mr Bean is saying either...But you seem to like Rowan Atkinson, given that you use him as your avatar.![]()
...What was that, mate? I couldn't understand.I'm Scottish by the way, no one understands me anyway.
Hi, Voodoo how you doing?
Yes, I wouldn't say they all mumble their lines but they can be hard to catch on occasion due to different accents, pauses and holding onto words or letters a little too long!

In "The Apple", Kirk et al. seem to be satisfied with the inhabitants' of the planet new status but these people had lived for millennia, doing very little work, now they're going to grow old and die in a few decades and in the meantime they'll have to work hard just to feed themselves. You really see this as an improvement? I don't.
I haven't seen any of Mrs.Who, Phase, so no idea about that! But Capaldi's era was pretty yuck too and had no redeeming qualities! I loved the old stuff from the sixties and seventies but I've never had any difficulties discerning what they're saying!

It's improvement from being essentially slaves to some damned machine.
