You know how they say head wounds tend to bleed a lot? They're right. Spoiler: explanation Cut myself shaving
^ Yep. I've been shaving my head (every morning) for awhile now. Most of the time it goes without a hitch. But when I screw up...oh lordy. At least this time, I cut myself on the front of my head, where I can see it, so it's easier to apply the bandage.
Courier companies are terrible. I recently got a package where it said right on the label that a signature was required and not to drop it off unattended. So of course they just left it on the porch. I obviously don’t know how it is in France, but here the flyers are often delivered by young kids as their first real job. Then obviously from now on you should just leave without announcing it!
^ I wish I could but I'm required to tell them, dagnabbit. I tried loading music on my old Nexus phone but the music plays for 10 seconds and then stops. Phooey. I'm just going to get a new player.
I did a stupid. When I opened my light this morning and started setting it up I went through everything I could find in the package and online about how to sign into the light's wifi with my phone. No joy. I just couldn't see any evidence of a wifi password mentioned anywhere, either in the installation pamphlet or on YouTube videos. I emailed the company through their site, Amazon, and found a chat that I didn't find out wasn't open so it sent my message to their email. I got a response when I woke up from a nap this evening. It's right there. In the pamphlet. Right over the image of choosing the light's wifi. D'oh! That said, I turned my light on and played with the color temperature and intensity setting using my phone. I just realized my monitor screen is in dire need of a cleaning.
I just keep X dollars in my checking account, Y dollars in my savings account, and on pay day after I pay off my credit card, anything over X + Rent I put in my ETrade account. But the problem is, X is just a little less than two months rent. I just handled this last month without realizing that the rent hadn't been taken out yet. The part that bothers me is that he *didn't tell me* he was going to take two times the rent out at the same time.
Wait...wait...hubby the IT guy has helped me solve the problem. Some of my music is so old that it's not compatible. Will have to convert those files later. I think I have it now. I'll see how it goes from here. Currently listening to Roxy Music on the old Nexus 4. I'm glad I saved that old thing. Now I can listen to my music on my headphones and still walk around the house or down the street. The old phone is bigger than I would like but it will still fit into the pocket of my jeans. It's doable.
Can't you transfer the rent regularly by a standing order? I feel very uncomfortable with third parties drawing on my account.
I don't think it's even possible here unless that third party is the law, IE a court order or whatever (fortunately I've never been on the receiving end of that!).
We having standing orders we can set up to instruct the bank make to make a regular payment to any other account. We can set them up online. Most of not all banks have stopped issuing cheque books.
Yeah, I haven't retried Avira because that went pearshaped a couple of years ago on mine It might be because of my job, but whenever I make a payment/receipt it's recorded and a quick balance check done. Full reconciliations are also a fairly regular thing.
The way that a computer that worked perfectly fine when it first came out a few years ago continues to get slower, bogged down, and buggier as more and more Windows updates are released. Kor
Now I need to figure out what's going on with my left thumb. It's sore all over, but in particular, when I move it my last joint closest to the tip pops out of joint a little, easily, but painfully, popping in and out of joint, especially when I actually use my thumb. It's annoying in general, but it's particularly annoying because it makes it difficult to use my new Spacemouse.
If I remember correctly, it just hogged resources too much. I know it wasn't recently enough to be a Win10 1803 issue, but I'm not sure.
