Name That STAR TREK Episode...

No. Was there water in that one? Did someone step on the gas? Did Scotty take command? Asking for a friend.

Well, Marvick made the ship go fast while he was ranting, "We need speed to the next galaxy!" I call that stepping on the gas.

Scotty was trying to restrain Marvick as soon as he heard Kirk on the intercom. That can be considered taking command of a given situation.

Not sure how the watered plot can be made into this, though. That part confounds me.

;) Wink of an Eye....

Nice job!

1. The phasers don't work, or do they? It's ambiguous, and the Scalosians do disarm Kirk and Spock when they attempt to destroy the deep-freeze unit, implying that it can be harmed, but Spock's phaser doesn't seem to work at the end and then we have the whole bridge confrontation with Kirk and Deela and the great "point right at me" scene.

2. Compton, for a redshirt (was he a security guard? He was taking water samples and seemed to be more than just muscle) knew the operation of the bridge controls, and tells Kirk that he showed the Scalosians how to operate them. Surprising, but I like it.

3. Step on the gas, just a deliberately misleading reference to the acceleration.

4. Scotty sits in the big chair at the beginning (although the scenes are outtakes from another episode - maybe The Empath?), and Spock is in command after Kirk disappears, although I don't think he ever sits down in the center seat.

5. Water - self-explanatory.

I hesitate between several but since I am allowed only one response, here goes:

The Enterprise Incident

The Ultimate Computer. Spock seems to like the M-5 at first but then makes his "I have no wish to serve under them" speech, and Kirk says Sulu and Chekov could have made the turns with their eyes closed.

Yes!

Actually McCoy says to Kirk, "Did you see the love light in Spock's eyes? The right computer finally came along."

And Kirk is not impressed by the M-5 manuevering rhe ship, while Sulu and Chekov twiddle their thumbs.

Your turn..

^ Ahhhhh, McCoy uses Cordrazine in Obsession. Interesting, because he injected himself with the same substance in City On The Edge Of Forever.
