Sony is going to releasing a collection of Christmas music sung by cast members of Into The Spider-Verse, including Spidey-Bells, the song Chris Pine's Spider-Man sings in a brief clip in and then again all the way during the credits.

This film s amazing, spectacular, sensational, and all of the others. I knew very little about Miles Morales going in, and while his story was mashed in with the Spider multiverse, his unique origin story stood out. Extraordinary animation, killer jokes, eye-popping action, and a brilliant cast further heightened this film as easily the second best Spider-Man film after Homecoming. While all of the Spiderfolk were great, Spider-Gwen was my favorite outside of Miles himself, although I also have a soft spot for Peni Parker because I adore Kimiko Glenn.

Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse
A Spider-Man movie, not like other Spider-Man movies. The story of how Miles Morales became Spider-Man. Miles Morales, an African American teen in Brooklyn, suddenly finds himself in over his head after he is bitten by a strange spider. But to digress, this doesn't occur straight away. Miles Morales, a gifted teen, is having trouble adjusting to his role as a new student at a High School for kids of his intelligence level. After a night out with his uncle, Miles is then bitten by that spider, and then is drawn into a battle involving Spider-Man and some of his villains.
The effects of the spider-sense upon Miles, as sensory overload, was very well done. The animation style conveyed this very well, much more effectively than if it was done in live action. And it is here that he meets Gwen. (More on that below.) That he would run away, and avoid his parents, as a result is understandable. However, the funeral and mourning scenes of Peter Parker and his Spider-Man were done rather well, especially Mary Jane's speech. It establishes that Spider-Man had been active in this New York for some time rather well.
However, there is more going on, with the Kingpin bankrolling a dimensional collider for reasons of his own, which brings in Spider-heroes from other universes into New York. This includes a 'down and out' version of Peter Parker,who reluctantly takes on a mentorship role. (The way Miles begs Peter to help was well done. It also brings in Spider-Gwen, whom Miles gets a crush on. (I'm not sure his hand getting stuck in her hair was a good scene.) Also drawn in are Spider-Man Noir, Sp//dr (or Peni Parker) and Spider-Ham.
Their introductions were also done rather well, each of them were developed well (although the last three took a back seat). The reason behind the Kingpin's plan was unexpected, but quite understandable, making him kind of relatable. Overall this is a very good film. 9.5/10.

This was a solid B+ movie (going by the ratings in this thread). It had some issues (the section before Miles gets his powers drags, the music is godawful, and I still consider the low frame animation to be cheap looking and distracting most of the time) but overall it was very good. It had a good story, decent to good characters and a few easter egg/references that really got me. This is easily the best Spider-Man movie since Spider-Man 2, although the first two Raimi movies are still better.

Also, I still don't really care about Miles in general, but I'd be up for a sequel with this particular version, as long as he has other spider people to back him up, because I wouldn't want a full movie where he is the only spider themed hero. But he worked well enough as the fairly bland protagonist to anchor the story. The other characters were pretty good, with Old Peter being my favorite character and Noir being the funniest of the supporting characters (I'd like to see an animated short with just the Nic Cage Spider-Man, I don't think you could do a whole film with him but a 10-20 minute short would probably be hilarious).

Loved the underground lair, complete with the Spiderbuggy! I have a few old issues in a box somewhere when he was using the buggy to get around town, but then he ended up having to ditch it into the river at one point.

Great movie. Gave it a solid A.

Evidently that line was improvised between the writers and Lee during his recording session. He recorded a fair amount of material that's not in the finished film, and they selected some lines for use and not others. So the eerily on-point melancholy nature of the cameo was not just prescience.

The scripted line was "It never fits," which was just a literal statement about the shopkeeper's stock of costumes.

Solid A. The best Spider-Movie Sony has made in over a decade. I had very few complaints, and most of them were so minor as to not need mentioning.

But I'll mention Fisk. I know he's big and the film's very stylised, but he just seemed too big and cartoony for that universe.

I just saw it this morning and I loved it.
One my favorite this was all the comic book elements that popped up from time to time, like text boxes, text sound effect, thought bubbles, and comic panels. They really did a great job of making it feel like a comic book come to life.

I'd put this right up there as one of the absolute best super hero comic book movies.

I fairly recently completed a full Miles Morales readthrough. It was well worth it - you should try it.
