I honestly can't remember the last time someone said "Mary Sue" on the internet and it was accurate.

Has it actually ever happened? Because I'm pretty sure it hasn't. When I was the moderator for Trek Literature (and a regular before that), I saw that term so damn often, I wanted to shoot myself.

An early draft of the script featured a scene with the Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland versions of Spider-Man in the same scene. Sounds like it was cut out of fear of overstuffing the film with too many Spider-Men (for the causal viewers, not the fans). So maybe they'll do the scene in one of the sequels?

And - this just won "Best Animated Feature" at the Oscars. Yes!

Into The Spider-verse defeats Incredibles 2 and gets the first ever oscar for a comic book animated superhero movie. How often did a Disney related studio NOT win the animated Oscar?

Looks like they've won all since 2011.

Well deserved IMO. That superhero movie actually deserved to be there.

The first year for this award was 2001. Since then a Disney studio has won 13/18 animated awards.

The Spider-Ham short, Caught in a Ham, has been released online and it's pure awesome. I love how enthusiastic John Mulaney is in the role.
