News New Season 2 Commercial

I'm pretty sure that's the joke;)
Was "The Cage" supposed to take place before or after DIS? Because I can absolutely seen them having a finale where Spock gets fully emotionalised for a short period of time from the red angels, which then directly leads to "The Cage", and thus retroactively gives a reason for why he was so emotional there. But still aknowledges even Pike knows him as the cold, logical Spock we normally know otherwise.
DSC season 2 is at least 3 years after The Cage.

I see Tig Notaro's character is standing. It appears she is not wheelchair bound, as was first reported - instead possibly using some sort of exoskeleton on her legs.

I missed her in the video.
Have to go back and look closer I guess.
(I've only watched it a couple of times so far)

But this takes place after The Cage? Why is Pike surprised to see Spock smile?

*Vents into Nerd Rage and Butt Hurt about over fifty years of Trek Canon going down the drain and a vow that each episode this season will only be watched five times a day.*

I feel like the fashion police but Pike is wearing the Discovery blues in parts and mustard in another segment.

Wow that Spock is a hairy one all right

^ Yeah I wasn't criticising I was just looking for clues. Like the commercial breaks the footage into parts and the action/glimpses of story piece together if you put the blue/uniform bits together. One has to make the most of these teasers

I watched it again. I wonder if it's a trailer representing all 13 episodes or just the first few? If the first few, then I'm surprised Spock shows up so soon.

If Pike's on Discovery for the season, does Spock stay on Discovery after he returns to duty, or does he return to the Enterprise? I'm assuming they're going to try to get some mileage out of the Enterprise, even if it's not the main ship. I think it might fill the same role as the Shenzhou did in S1 (or the Rotarran in DS9) where sometimes the plot calls for having a second ship.

My theory is that he doesn't show up until midway through season, it would line up with the casting announcement and the actor's appearance at cons.

I think this is Tig Notaro's character grabbing Tilly.

How dare they do that to the Spock character! Everyone knows he only smiles at funny looking plants, while making a rape joke or finding out he is off the hook for murder when the would be victim sneaks up behind him and surprises him.
