I also wanted to mention that even though I’ve only seen two seasons, I feel very confident saying that The Smile Song is (going to be) my favourite of the entire show!

It's too early for me to tell you otherwise, but yes, The Smile Song will likely remain a top favorite no matter what, but wow, you've got some great songs ahead.

I'm going to give G5 a chance, but from what I've seen, I don't think I'm going to like it for very long. I've grown very attached to these characters and...
they're going to have different voice actors, different personalities, but the same names. So Rarity won't be a fashionista, she's going to be a street sporty type, and so on.
I'm just not really up for that. Either start fresh or keep G4 going.
@Amaris, that’s very nice of you to give your ponies away. I’m planning on giving some stuffies to charity as well but I’m keeping a few for sentimental reasons.
I wish Discord hadn’t been reformed so soon. I wanted a few more episodes with him as a villain.
I also think it’s weird that Celestia made Twilight a princess and an alicorn. I understand that it was suppose to be the series finale but I think it was a bit much.

Oh, the fandom was in an uproar about it. There was a lot of bagging on Twilight with wings at the time. Even now, there are people who are disgruntled by it. I came to terms with it quickly, because Twilight's my favorite, and she's awesome with or without alicorn power. Still, I do agree they pulled the ripcord too soon.
I’m fine with her becoming an alicorn (what is an alicorn anyway?) it’s the princess thing I find strange.

An alicorn is a pony who possesses all three traits from all three tribes. So you have a unicorn horn, pegasus wings, and earth pony sturdiness. Alicorns also have some kind of direct connection to a greater magic. Celestia has the Sun, Luna the Moon, Cadence the power of Love itself, and Twilight has the magic of Friendship.
Because of the rarity of this combination, which can only happen by birth or by ascension, alicorns are automatically royalty.

Oh I’m definitely continuing, I’ve watched three seasons in eight days. I usually don’t binge this hard but it’s very entertaining and the episodes are short.

There are a lot of great shows out there that are for kids. You guys are really tempting me to check out. I've watched some stuff that I am pretty much the complete opposite of the target audience for, but I just haven't gotten myself to actually watch this yet.

When I first started watching, I binged the entire first season in two days. Unfortunately, at the time there was only one season, as season two was still a few months away.
It's worth a watch, and is very smartly written. If nothing else, there are some great songs in it.
I’ve noticed that the animation in season 4 looks a bit different. In some scenes it looks almost 3-D.

You'll notice that a couple of more times as you progress through the seasons. The team at DHX just kept getting better and better at rendering the ponies, and their environments.
“Twilight’s Kingdom” was awesome, as are all the season finales!
I really like Fluttershy and Discord’s friendship. It’s sweet.
Speaking of the former King Of Chaos... Pinkie Pie may be my favourite of the Mane 6 but Discord is my favourite MLP character!

I have to admit I didn't like Discord at first. I love John de Lancie, but Discord started off as malevolent. Fortunately, he ended up being more chaotically goofy than anything, and he's become a favorite. It's no surprise Fluttershy managed to calm him down somewhat, she's just this sweet bundle of kindness and compassion. ♥“Twilight’s Kingdom” was awesome, as are all the season finales!

Unfortunately I still stand by what I said a few seasons ago: I can’t stand the Cutie Mark Crusaders, as a group or individually. I wish they didn’t get as many episodes as they do. I could handle one a season. I suppose they were brought into the show to entertain the really young viewers.
