Kirk's Weaknesses?

Captain Kirk is bold, adventurous, strong willed and brave. In the episode The Enemy Within, we were allowed to see some of his positive and negative characteristics. In the other 70+ episodes, did you notice any other potential flaws that made you sit up and take notice?

Kirk seems to have moments where he gets easily distracted. In The Savage Curtain, he wanders around the Enterprise with Lincoln for over 2 hours while Scotty and McCoy are waiting in the briefing room.

His wanting to rescue Surak in The Savage Curtain was a weakness. Spock was dead on when he said a Vulcan would not cry out in pain but Kirk let's his emotions get the better of him. Kirk was a character written in such a way as to frequently let his emotions overwhelm his judgement.
