News Stan Lee died

Excelsior Mr. Lee, thanks for everything!

I mentioned this to some friends as well. I hope he did indeed get the time to film the SM:FFH cameo

Question: Having an "In Memory" of sequence before/after how many more movies??
Captain Marvel, a character he didn't create or co-create is the first one up.
Avengers 4 then SM:FFH are the last '19 films. Both of those make sense but is repeating it going to seem too much?

It would make the most sense to have the "In Loving Memory" bit be at the end of A4. After all, that's the conclusion to the Saga ten years in the making using the MCU characters.

Stan Lee's recent passing was devastatingly depressing. The last of the great creators whose works were a big part of my child- and young adulthood, Stan Lee is and was my Walt Disney! Back in my science-fiction convention days (1980s) I got to see him, I believe, on two separate occasions. He was marvelous (;)). He had charm and charisma, and was a masterful storyteller. I remember on one occasion he lamented how he loved Superman: The Movie (1978) and wished one the Marvel licensees would put that kind of quality and resources into one of their characters. I am glad he got to see his co-creations given that support and then some.

I pray for Stan Lee. I pray that he is in the loving presence of almighty God. I pray that God bestows his blessings and strength upon Stan's family, friends, and fans the world over to process our profound loss. Stan Lee left the world in far better shape than he found it by virtue of his nearly 80 years of creating, collaborating, and contributing to pop culture in ways that were meaningful and relatable.

EXCELSIOR, Stan Lee, and never "'nuff said" when speaking of you.

If his last cameo is in the Spidey sequel, it's especially fitting the last time we'll see him is in a film about one of his greatest creations.
I believe it's been stated by Kevin Feige, that the last filmed Stan Lee cameos will be in "Captain Marvel" and "Avengers 4" (IE all principal photography for those films was 'in the can' prior to Stan Lee's death.) I don't think the Spider-Man sequel, even though it started filming had gotten the Stan Lee cameo scene filmed, but I guess we'll see.

Very very sad news. This is not just a massive loss for American comics, but a massive loss for world wide pop culture. The characters he created are seen around the world in pretty much every medium there is, and that is because of Stan Lee, if he hadn't set the foundation for who these characters were, then they would not be here today.
One of my favorite Stan Lee cameos is actually in the PS4 Spider-Man game that just came out a few months ago.

I think they should use CG face-swapping so that Stan Lee can cameo in Marvel movies forever. I think he'd be cool with it.
Funny, I said that to my partner a day ago. She seemed cool with the idea but it's one of those "hmmmm.." ideas that you might have at the time out of reverence but later reconsider. I dunno... it might be nice to see his last two cameos and then just leave it there?

To be honest and fair, I think both DC and Marvel should find ways to CGI in the creators of a particular hero or group into scenes as a way to credit them whenever possible.

Or, you know, do what the Marvel Netflix shows have done and put them in a photo in the background. A bust or statue also works, as seen in the 2016 Ghostbusters.

I like that idea. Otherwise, let the dead rest. If the MCU is still churning out movies 10 years from now, it might be okay to CGI him in, but for now, let him Rest In Peace. There's no need to have a fake masking around as him now just to satisfy a cameo we've all taken as a given in MCU movies. A statue or bust would also make a nice Easter Egg in the movies.

I'm not going to quote or link to the man's words, because they are as ignorant and irrelevant as the man himself.

However, I will say this. Stan Lee used his platform to speak out against bigotry, hatred and division. He spoke to humanity's better nature and the hero inside of all of us. Meanwhile, Bill Maher has been quoted in his admiration of Donald Trump.

'Nuff said.

In the Marvel Universe, his funeral would draw thousands of superheroes and supervillains, all mourning side by side in a one-day truce, united by their mutual respect and admiration for The Man.

In effect, that has happened in the world of comic fans, on the internet. I think that he would appreciate that.

I would love to see a large group of comic artists design and draw that poster. I would would buy a print.

True, that would be a fantastic poster. They could give the proceeds to the Hero Initiative.
