Actually the more I think about it, a Walter Jr show about depression and mental health, especially in a case where everyone associates you with a famous criminal, could actually be really good. Maybe only as a miniseries. Also a Badger and Skinny Pete podcast. But enough about the off topic GOOD ideas for spinoffs. Transformers:How it all started.=In homage to classic silent films and the idea the Transformers crashed in the in the distant past you do a live action Transformers show filmed much in the way it would be filmed back in those days and be a silent tv show. Transformers for example would be people wearing boxes and painted silver in order to look like robots. When it's time fro a Transporter effect you cut to a a frame that has a line that sounds out the "Ku-ku-chick" sound effect and then you cut back to a old timey vehicle of that era. Jason

Dukes of Hazzard: The Teen Years. ("Yeah, would really be cool to see the Duke Boys as teenagers", said no one ever.) Except that it did happen, as a TV movie. After the theatrical movie, I guess they wanted to keep the ball rolling and keep the franchise alive and wondered what they could do with the franchise. The result was Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning, a movie which none of the original cast of DoH approved of based on the idea of what it was going to be, an American Pie-like teen comedy which was different in tone and content to the rest of the entire franchise which had previously been family friendly. In most of the movie, they ride a dune-buggy (until they discover the General Lee near the end of the movie), learn about moonshine running and chase after women, all in a raunchy over-the-top manner. I'd settle for a Dukes spinoff explaining what exactly the hell happened to everyone's parents. Seriously. All we ever see of the Duke family are Uncle Jesse and a shit-ton of cousins. What happened to the respective parents of Bo, Luke and Daisy? Which one of those parents is Jesse's brother? (I'm guessing brother, because Jesse's last name is also Duke)? Are Coy and Vance - as I've always suspected - actually Bo and Luke's brothers?
Data: San Francisco Underground - a series based on things that happened to Data's head during those hundreds of years when it was detached from his body and stuck under San Francisco.
I got that far and immediately thought of Data as a transit policeman working for BART. Which in itself would be pretty funny.
After I wrote it, I reread it, and Data in something like "Baywatch Nights" was what came to mind. Which might be even worse than my original premise. Especially with it being just his detached head.
Aunt May: A series all about the everyday life of May Parker, nice old lady who's oblivious to the secret life of her nephew Peter. And since she's oblivious to it and she's the star of the show, Spider-Man doesn't really come up save for the odd newspaper article.
