Name That Episode, DS9 Edition...

Clue: This episode features one of the few actors to play both a Klingon and a member of the Jem'hadar. He appeared as a Klingon in two episodes of TNG. One of his TNG appearances was in a character's dream.
I assume you mean Brian Thompson...I'm curious which episode he was in as a dream?

Ah. Silly me, I was thinking playing a character in a dream rather than stock footage.

But they do identify the clips as dreams Riker is having. Which I know because (this feels like a confession) I have actually recently rewatched "Shades Of Grey" for the first time since the early 90's.

Possibly I've gone Trek-insane, but It's actually not so bad anymore, now that I often experience the whole Berman era as a clipshow (dropping in and out of BBC reruns at random, jumping around to favorite scenes on Netflix, etc).

"THE MAGNIFICENT FERENGI"?

I think of his holosuite attack runs shooting at Jem'Hadar that he would later do in reality protecting Nog in "THE SIEGE OF AR-558".

That's an interesting guess but no. I think I'll give another clue then (That's the third one):
Someone austere discovers ways of having fun (remember to answer that in relation to the other two clues).

Facets

Tobin chews O'Brien's nails, Quark becomes a woman, Curzon declares his love for Jadzia, Odo discovers how to have fun from Curzon.

I'm pretty sure that's correct, just need a little time to think of a good clue.

yes, it's correct.

1) Self-love: Curzon is in love with Jadzia but he's actually a part of her, so ina way he's in love with himself.
2) Quark experienced being a woman which he will do much later in the series (as we all know...)
3) Odo discovers ways of having fun through (the spirit of) Curzon.
4) Tobin bites his nails, but what he's actually doing is biting O'Brien's nails.

Correct.

Odo is the frozen gelatin that becomes Quark’s emergency rations. And Quark is a rat, or criminal informant, which they try to kill with a bomb. And Odo and Quark fight, in the only period in the series where the fight is fair.
