Discovery Spin-Off Series in the Works?

I didn't mention here - CBS commissioning not one but three confirmed new Trek shows (and potentially two more) off the back of Discovery's success is indicative.

Link?
Its a Midnight edge claim, they can't back up. Everything I can find points to netflix still footing the bill

This echo chamber forum is no indication of what the general population think of the show.

This board is not an echo chamber. I suspect you would be fine with this board being a echo chamber if we all shared your worldview.

Quit stamping your feet because people are enjoying something that you don't.

Based off who he is using as his avatar, he is a Midnight edge acolyte. He hates DSC and he does not care what the reality is.

This board is full of star trek fans who come out their way to post about a show. Hardly a typical cross section of society. Out of my friends who are trekkies, less than half would watch it. That doesnt mean they would pay for it (they watched S1 on netflx). Now thats 8 people who are trekkies out of all the people i know, most of whom never watch star trek, maybe 1 or 2 out of 50 people would pay to watch it. Is that good?

Translation: five of my friends don't like it, so obviously it must be reviled.

For God's sake, five people wouldn't fill the first row at a DISCO panel at Comic-Con, which was surely standing-room only. And that most of your friends agree with you only means that, surprise, you and your friends have similar tastes, which kinda stands to reason. Not exactly a tidal wave of public opinion. :)

Well, I don't exactly look forward to a series where EVERY discussion about it inevitably leads to the discussion about weather the main protagonist is a "cannibal", genocidal fascist, or a "xeno-cannibal", genocidal fascist.:guffaw:

Can't they give us a prime-Georgiou prequel show or something?
(Besides, I think MU Gergious backstory is already waaay to thick to just drop it in the pilot episode of a new show)

Well that might be what it is.
Section 31 is just a rumour.

Though a Prime Georgiou story would probably be need to be set before both Saru and Michael joined the Shenzhou

@Tuskin38, you just do you babe.

That would be boring, and easily do able within DSC as flashbacks, or even a Short Trek episode. There's more mileage out of a Section 31 series that's sorta like Star Trek meets Suicide Squad.

I'd eat Saru. He probably tastes like squid.

Synthesised food is never as good as the real deal stuff anyway. I don't blame the Emperor for wanting real meat.
