There's a new rumor floating around, but the source is "MCU Cosmic" and they can not be considered 100% reliable (They were the source of the recent false "Brie Larson is signed for seven movies" rumor. They also broke the "Eternals" story before anyone else).

Anyway, this seems more likely for the streaming service than the theaters. A new project focusing on Hawkeye, or "Hawkeyes" in this case. In this project, we would find Hawkeye training a successor. The obvious choice would be Kate Bishop, and it focuses attention on the recent announcement of the casting of Katherine Langford in A4.

I haven't read it yet, but based on everything I know about it, the Matt Fraction/David Aja Hawkeye series would be perfect source material for a TV series.
Variety: Falcon and Winter Soldier to get series on Disney streaming.

I look forward to more of this... :D

I like both characters, so I would be very happy to see them get more focus. I have to admit, I forgot what their relationship was like in Civil War. If they continue that into the series, it could be a lot fun.

The theory now isn't that Langford will be playing Kate Bishop, but that she's really the daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper from 20 years in the future as opposed to just 5. So we'll be jumping further to the future than previously thought.

Isn't the actress playing older Cassie Lang just a few years older than the actress from the Ant-Man movies? Maybe we'll see multiple time periods.

Damn, Disney is really going all out with this "Let's move the film characters to their own shows on our streaming service" route, aren't they? While I'm intrigued about the potential buddy action-comedy as hinted in Civil War, I do think they're already running the risk of oversaturating things. At least this one is a limited series (I don't remember if the Loki and Scarlet Witch shows are also potentially limited series). But I don't care as long as we get the Wanda/Vision rom-com we all deserve. :D

I think any show featuring major characters from the films would only be a limited series. Hiddleston, Olsen, Renner, Mackie, and Stan all have active film careers and likely would not be available (or affordable) for a regular series.

Comics do one-shots and miniseries all the time, though, and these would be a great way for some of the secondary characters to get more focus than they're able to get in the movies.

Line between film and tv, especially streaming/prestige television, is getting very blurry. Actors can easily do short seasons of tv-series while still continue to make bigger feature films. And Disney has the money, they can afford anyone.

E.g., The Night Manager starring Hiddleston, which was excellent.

Will it be a wacky mismatched partners action-com?

A Winter Soldier & Falcon show huh? So it's just gonna be about dust blowing in the wind then? :p

Man...they sure are quick to reboot the Lethal Weapon show!

And Bucky saying "I am too old for this..."

They're going for a serious "Avengers Generation 2" vibe with everything I hearing about A4. Tony's kid sidekick will be coming back, Cassie Lang older, Tony's child, and if Langford ISN'T playing the Stark daughter then she's Hawkeye's protégé.

Theory on THAT is that she's either Kate Bishop or they're taking Clint's daughter from AOU and merging her with Kate Bishop as his successor.

Unlike Cap, I didn't understand that reference.
Well, they're both "dead" aren't they, turned to dust at the end of Infinity War.

Part just a joke part also saying I like how Marvel are making no effort to try and make out that ending meant anything. As you obviously knew it wouldn't. I think it's because I always saw (and still do) see posts on social media (esp Instagram) about how it was such a traumatic ending to people. Loved the movie but even at the time I didn't get it it all; they were all so obviously coming back.
