I guess I’m still flummoxed by all of this.

As I understand it, Meghan is very well liked by the entire royal family, up to and including the Queen. So is this just an example of bullshit legalese that has nothing to do with reality?

The Queen ordered Meghan to sighn a marriage contract. In case there is a divorce, the children have to remain in the custody of the House of Windsor.

Is their anything remotely looking like evidence of this?

I don't know if there is a real contract. No one will know this for sure. It is already progress that Harry was allowed to pick his wife. There are also financial issues to be considered. As for me: I hope that Harry and Meghan will be happy. It is what counts after all.

That's my hope, too. And my words "being ordered" were harsh. The Queen cherishs and likes her. Meghan and Harry will hopefully be above formalities, if they are necessary at all
