Looks like we will have a fully bearded Lieutenant Spock on Discovery

Poor Spock has to represent 6 billion fictional beings while all the Star Trek humans can be as diverse as you please with beard's and bald heads and tashes. They even come in different skin tones
Considering how "non-diverse" we fans are assuming Vulcans to be, I'm surprised no one has suggested that Admiral Terral is actually Tuvok's father (or maybe someone has?). Although it was never stated in Voyager, fans have long presumed Tuvok's father to be a Starfleet officer due to it being stated that Tuvok's father pressured Tuvok into entering Starfleet...

The beard is actually a good way to adjust to the fact that Prime Spock isn't Nimoy. I wonder if they could have switched out Jonathan Frakes using the beard as a cover back in TNG...? :shifty:

Might as well go all out and if Patrick Stewart gets tired of his new show, have Picard grow a beard and replace him with someone else...

McAvoy or Hardy?

A majority of fans have declared Roddenberry as non-canon, so it's a stalemate.

Impossible. That Admiral Roddenberry you see on the ship's plaque I think can be seen in ever series meaning that guy was a very long-lived and important Starfleet officer for centuries.

C'mon, you can't read that tiny print on-screen. It could be anything.

I thought he retired to be a love instructor

My theory is he is a imortal human like Flint who eventually told everyone about his nature. He was the first evolved human being ever! He has been many people from Jesus to John Adams to Winston Churchill to Gene Roddenberry creator of tv show "Star Trek" to Robert April to Admiral Roddenberry. Slowly influencing the world in away he wanted it to and the reason why the universe looks like his old 60's and later tv shows is because he worked through many different channels to create the future as how he wanted it to be. Once he did this then he retired to be a Love Instructor which was his plan all the time. It's why he created RIsa to begin with. A place to live the rest of his life in pure sexual utopia.

Star Trek V stays in, warts and all.
And if it doesn't I'll retcon it back in. And before anyone says. "That's not the right outfits. Where's Spock's harp?" It's a visual deboot. ;)

Its probably based on the assumption that just because Sarek wanted his son to follow in his footsteps then all Vulcan parents have the same strict attitude. Because only humans are diverse in the Star Trek universe...right?
