All I said was that the amnesia stuff in the movie was more similar to the amnesia of Ms. marvel's first costumed appearances then it was to the Rogue related stuff. That is relevant.

And all I was doing was defending the Kelly Sue Deconnick run. I mean, I agree that your opinion about that run is certainly your opinion. But not much else.

Well, I think the evidence speaks for itself. The tumor amnesia storyline basically disappeared within months of it happening. If it was super popular, I doubt it would have gone away so fast or been mostly ignored by other books even when it was happening

How far in advance would a comic storyline like that be planned out? Would it be fast enough for fan reaction to impact such a short arc?
I want to see this happen, just to watch everyone lose their shit.

That is interesting. I had no idea this was such a recurring theme for her.

Though I would still say in the world of movies as opposed to comics that it would probably be too repetitive to throw on the Rogue/Carol storyline on top of another amnesia storyline. But maybe they could make it work, who knows.

Following recent rumors that suggested Tessa Thompson was part of the recent Untitled Sequel reshoots, Thompson confirmed on Twitter today that Valkyrie was not a victim of the Snap.

I was a fan of the comics version of Valkyrie, and I found Thompson's character to be one of the highlights of Thor 3.

I wonder where she was when Thanos attacked the ship. Maybe it has something to do with Sif (he says, knowing that we'll probably never see Sif again or get an explanation about what happened to her...).

The Grandmaster's ship was gone and several of the escape pods have been ejected.

I stand by me previous prediction: Valkirie & Korg went out for beers like 20 mins before Thanos showed up.

Thor probably ordered them to abandon ship and sent her with Korg and Miek to protect them.

Could be interesting. I wonder if they would go for surviving villains from the movies or introduce the characters from the comic version? Victoria Hand is the only character listed as a team member on Wikipedia who has appeared in the MCU so far and she is both dead and a good guy.

    Also, a tv character exclusively.

I was really hoping for a Thunderbolts movie with General Ross in charge and Zemo and Vulture plus some other surviving villains, and also introduce Songbird as a small-time villain who wants to change. That's probably not going to happen if this does. At the very least, I hope Zemo and Vulture show up here in some way.

There's also Ghost. She's a shoe in for this group.

Is she really? As of the end of AatW she's basically a good guy.

This is really the biggest problem with a Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers concept based on where the MCU currently is. I can come up with a list of names that could be on it, but it doesn't feel much like a natural, workable list.

Ghost is a good guy. Vulture is bordering on repentant. Zemo is probably even less repentant than before after he sees the Avengers name recover and wants to finish the job of ruining them, but he also has no powers and would really make more sense as a 'how do we destroy the avengers?' consultant.

Any one of these could work, I think, as the 'exception' on the team, and maybe even two together would be fine, but all three of them feels kind of weird.

Mordo is unconcerned with non-sorceror stuff and too powerful for the govt. to find/control him. Shocker, Tinkerer, Mysterio and/or Scorpion could work, but then you have half the team packed with Spidey villains and it starts to feel like the Sinister Six. Grandmaster is way too powerful. Red Skull is on an alien planet (and Hugo Weaving isn't interested). Loki is dead (and too powerful, anyway).

I suppose they could theoretically find Yellowjacket in the quantum realm, disfigured and pissed off, or rebuild Ultron with some programming tweaks to force him to obey, or reveal there was a secret back-up of Arnim Zola and a prototype robot body. That would make things a bit more balanced.

And there are still other films coming out. Maybe Captain Marvel will introduce someone who's usable. Or Black Widow. Other than that, it seems such a film will kind of have to introduce quite a few characters brand new.

I'm generally not a fan of fan theories, but I genuinely like this one.

Only Abraham Erskine was able to perfect the super soldier serum and he could only make it work once. His earlier attempt created The Red Skull, and later attempts to duplicate the serum created the Hulk and the Abomination.

what if the missing ingredient from the earlier attempt and then the later attempts was... The heart-shaped herb?

Wakanda donated a small amount of vibranium to the war effort, why not a small sample of flower or bud from the heart-shaped herb?

    Ooh, that's clever.

In Luke Cage season 2, when they were talking about the special strain of African nightshade that gave Bushmaster his superstrength, I was wondering if they were going to mention at some point that it came from Wakanda. They never made the connection explicit, but I like to think it was related to the HSH somehow.

I like that theory, too, as well as the potential Luke Cage connection.
