Chabon didn't cover his notes!

Quick, CSI zoom and enhance! :D

I can't actually read it, but it appears to have a table of contents taking up the top of the first page. Thus I doubt it is his notes - probably some premade document for distribution to the whole writers room. Maybe the series bible?

Who cares about Chabons notes? I'm more interested in these circles James Duff has doodled.

What are they? Random doodles? Separate timelines intersecting? Wormholes? Apples? Oranges? Grapes?

Parasite aliens from TNG's Conspiracy confirmed.

If they don't plan to do it right off the bat, there is no guarantee of it actually happening. We don't actually even know for sure if the Picard show is intended to last long-term at all, yet, or just tell a 1 or 2 season self-contained story and be done.

First they need to have the Picard show stand alone on its own strengths before having Riker/Beverly over for dinner and or battling alien parasites. It's prudent. Especially if they already have a vision for what they want to do with the show's first outing already. I think we'll see hints of aspects of each TNG character in Picard's story, initially. The grapes don't fall that far from the vineyards.

Emoticons.
It’s a bold new direction for the Picard character.

With all due respect to Tom Hardy, I prefer the Young Picard version from "Tapestry" with his hair still fully intact.

On a more serious note, does this mean that we're going to get lots of flashback bw young and old Picard in the new series? An older Picard, with his life and career experience before him, recalled his Starfleet career and reflected on it, with flashbacks from the time of his academy years, the "Tapestry" incident, taking command of Stargazer, captain of USS Stargazer and later in his life USS Enterprise, interacting with his XO Jack Crusher and the young Bevelry Crusher, etc.?

So while the new series will feature some post-Nemesis timeline, it willl be a prequel series focusing on Picard's early life and adventures. His older self is just a device to set the series up :confused:

How do you all think about this possible series plot?

It was my understanding that McAvoy was joking about the flashbacks. So, no, we won't get that (lest the series basically become "The Chronicles of Young Indiana Picard").

I was thinking of "Smallville: Star Trek Edition."

The Adventures of Jean-Luc Picard before he became Captain Picard we all know.

Once again, the series will be a frakking prequel :confused:

In any case, I hope you're right. I prefer the series to be set in post-Nemesis world instead of it becoming another flashback series centering on a younger Picard.
