Captain Marvel (2019)

Maybe it was the lighting, but Jude Law's character looked like he has pink skin. Not Caucasian pink, but pink. I think some of the aliens in GotG had a similar shade.
I'm pretty sure it's the ambient lighting because the surrounding area around him looks like its lit by ambient light. His eyes are definitely not human colored, but his skin looks Caucasian, especially around his ear.

His skin color looked like Law's normal skin tone to me, but I think he did have yellow or gold eyes.

While I've really liked her in other performances, I'm just not seeing a whole lot going on here in the few moments they chose to feature in this trailer.

Is happy even a setting for your life?

90% of the time when it comes to the MCU, actually. I love most of the MCU movies, it just Tween Spider-Man and Evil Amnesiac Green Lantern Rip Off Captain Marvel that I loathe. Just because I don't bow down to the hive mind of the "We must love everything" crowd doesn't mean I don't enjoy a lot of stuff. I even like Thor 2 and Iron Man 2. I am really easy to please when it comes to the MCU films, it takes an extraordinarily bad MCU
product to piss me off.

So, yeah, I'm pissed that a top 5 Marvel character for me (Carol Danverse) is getting a shit movie, especially as the first female lead MCU film. I didn't expect it to be as amazing as Wonder Woman, but I expected it to at least be up to the MCU's high standards. Then I saw the costume, and knew it was ignoring the source material completely, and the trailer just made it worse. Instead of being a normal MCU film its just another Elektra or Catwoman, but worse.

Holy Shit dude, this was a two minute trailer. Stop being so judgemental and wait for the friggin' movie already. You're not even gonna bother going in open-minded. Are you even aware by now, that when they talk about toxic fandom, it's people like you they talk about?

Do you know who you are talking to?

I also like how the focus is more about Carol regaining her agency, as emphasized by the smash cut of her at different ages literally standing up.

Not just standing up, but standing up right after falling/being knocked down.
Kelley Sue Deconnick:
"Carol falls down all the time, but she always gets back up — we say that about Captain America as well, but Captain America gets back up because it’s the right thing to do. Carol gets back up because ‘Fuck you.’"
:guffaw:

She is a very unlikeable character in the comics so it’ll be interesting how they handle her here.
Usually in the comics, whatever she’s up against, you bet on the other. :)

Meh, Carol is likeable enough for the most part, with the exception of Civil War II, in which her character was thrown out in favor of plot (which often tends to happen in "event" stories). I like her because she can beat up any man in the room and she lets the men know it. However, I understand that that's exactly why some men don't like her.

I think the issue here is because she has a gorgeous smile and people just wanted to see it. :)

Why don't you smile more? You're so beautiful when you smile!

Just because people think they're complimenting you doesn't mean it isn't an idiotic double standard that should die a fiery death.

Though in fairness to the (probable) trolls whose comments I haven't read directly, I wonder if there is a bit of comparison/expectations related to Wonder Woman. Which would still be like watching a Deadpool trailer and asking why he doesn't act like Wolverine, but at least there would be a semi-logical reason behind the stupidity.

I had no issue with her expression. She looked more confused than anything which makes sense considering
