Noob to star trek and forum

Thank you for the welcome :)
Once we have finished Enterprise, we will be giving DS9 another go.
(I can't lie though, I hope they kill off that annoying doctor) :D

The whole point of Bashir in the beginning is that he's young and brash, and not that long out of the Academy. He mellows out and grows up. And he's far less annoying than the EMH.

Indeed. The EMH is one of the most entertaining characters on Voyager.
I disagree extremely strongly - Robert Picardo is a fine actor (possibly the best of the Voyager cast) and he plays the character well, however the character he plays is incredibly irritating.

The Andorians first appeared in TOS, but then were forgotten for the whole TNG/DS9/VOY era, apparently because one of the producers thought the antennae were goofy-looking.

You can also glimpse them occasionally in the TOS movies.

Except for the brief scene where Lal tried on an Andorian "skin" in TNG "The Offspring"

The original Andorians only appeared in three episodes of TOS and the last two were more cameos than anything else! But of course the technology wasn't there to give the actors moving antennae back then so the stalks just stood there on there heads instead of the twitching curling ones of the Andorians as seen in ENT! Ambassador Shras was pretty creepy I remember as a child and then later on he went on to play Mr. Barlow in Salem's Lot!
