Episodes that are considered "good" that you actually dislike

The best thing about Inner Light is the story Daniel Stewart told about the flute. How he spent many weeks learning that tune for real, only for his dad to get the scene and have it faked.

I think the entire concept of A Piece of the Action to be illogical. It's not one I rewatch. I know its popular, but I have no interest in it.

Aliens imitating us to a tee over a book - a thread of Humanity. Sounds like the Royale (with cheese).

Cyranno escaping the bar with a drink unscathed was right out of a Tony Curtis movie. The only thing in Tribbles never done was the Klingon imposter which to this day I feel is a mistake to make them different than Humans in some way. Remember Vulcans and Romulans were only slightly different which made it interesting, more so.

I find In The Pale Moonlight a little overrated, considering if you look at that episode closely, Garak kind of lets Sisko off the hook for most of it. Sisko agreed to the plan, but Garak carried it out and did the dirty work.

I wouldn't say I actively dislike any episode that is considered "good". Even on Discovery, I rewatched it and found it more enjoyable than my first time. I still hate that finale though, so if people consider that episode good, than I'll go with that one.

Would the episode have been better if Sisko had killed Vreenak (and Tolar)? I actually like the idea. Sisko is capable of doing it, and it fits with the darker tone of DS9.

Yeah I think that would have given the episode more gravitas. Maybe not Vreenek, but Tolar was doable. And yeah he was capable of doing it. He did use a weapon of mass destruction on a planet afterall, which I find more serious than what he did in Pale Moonlight.

So with how much time I spend on here, I could essentially be earning 40,000 more dollars a year. Wow, that’s actually kind of depressing now that I think about it...

And now, at long last, you finally understand.

I'm not a big fan of "The Inner Light," either. I find it rather tedious and unsatisfying.

"Bride of Chaotica!" is usually considered pretty strong or at least fun, I thought it was, like "The Royale", bad writing making fun of bad writing and the writer & cast thinking that was really funny but it was actually pretty painful.
