Well it would be attached to the Star Trek universe just not be the same as what people think of as "Star Trek"

But why limit yourself? I'd rather see something new than just cribbing off of Star Trek.

Titan could potentially have been a proto-Orville; the best part of Frakes/Sirtis relationship is their comic interplay.

I think the Academy idea would make for an interesting miniseries. Trying to stretch it out to multiple seasons would get old, though. I'm not a big fan of school settings for a long-term series.

Because i like the Star Trek universe but would like to see it explored, especially what life is like in the Federation. We tend to only see what life is like in Star Fleet (and then usually on a top of the line ship, so the elite), whats it like to be an average Joe or Jane?

No disease, no pollution, no scarcity of resources, no crime, no poverty, better education, equal opportunity for all .. when is the next shuttle leaving?

Ok, that may not make a good TV series, you need things like conflict and drama for those.

The show I’ve wanted since 2001 is a ship exploration show in the future of prime timeline with a new cast. Bermantrek era recurring characters are welcome but optional.

Make it like Dexter. A show about humanity's last serial killer trying not to get caught.

I would have chosen other. Having an Enterprise C series leading up to the Nerendra 3 incident, Ora Star Trek series featuring the federation and Romulans leading up the treaty of Algernon. Also a Cardassian series would have been cool.

Harry mudd still exists

Like it or not, Star Trek 2009 shows us a little of life on Earth. Jim Kirk steals a car as a kid. He gets in barfights as an adult, and he also unknowingly hits on a 16-year-old girl.

It's just like today.

Captain Nog, First Officer Naomi Wildman, and Science Officer Icheb on the USS Hawking. Traveler Wesley pops in from time to time. Q Jr. shows up to cause much wackiness.

Where’s my Emmy?

I could see the Starfleet Intelligence idea benefiting from being in an established universe...the fictional world is already there for the space espionage to take place in.

A miniseries showing SI’s involvement in known historical events would be cool. We’ve always heard about “operatives on Romulus.” It would be interesting to actually meet some of them, and it would give TPTB an excuse to make Elias Vaughn canon.

Well i did say, in my original post, Star Fleet Intelligence, medical drama et cetera.

I don't remember the part about the sixteen-year-old girl. I remember him hitting on Uhura and (later) her roommate, but . . ..

would have liked to see Rise of the Federation/Romulan War as a series or couple of miniseries.

According to the Star Trek Chronology and StarTrek.com, Uhura was born in 2239. I don't seriously think that Kelvin Timeline Uhura was intended to be that young, but there isn't conflicting evidence.

She is not remotely played as a sixteen-year-old in the movie. Nor is there a scene of the "Dude, she's only sixteen!" variety. And since when are sixteen-year-olds enrolled in Starfleet Academy anyway? Or hanging out in bars?

Granted, a much older Kirk hit on Lenore Karidian (and more) when she only nineteen, but still . . .
