Enterprise didn't kill anything. It was itself killed, three seasons too soon, cut down just as it was hitting its stride. Crap network wannabe that didn't even cover the country, lousy advertising, too many preemptions, DVRing not yet being counted toward viewership, and the Beebs, who demonstrated their lack of love or care for the show by making the finale about TNG and relegating the ENT cast to being fake people in a lousy holodeck thing.
Soooo true and I think I have to put in my two cents too. One of the other main reason behind the canceling of show was flop of Nemesis. It killed the our "beloved" Trek Universe and studios released that they have to find another kind of consumers.. ehh fans, I mean. This was the birth hour of Kelvin Universe which brings obviously more money, if it is canon or not.. just who cares if some canon-belt Trekkies go mad and run amok?
I love ENT. For me it is the best franchise (TOS out of competition). Only for two years before, if someone would say to me this, I could not even think it could be a bad joke. Trek was/is always part of my live. As the time ENT aired on TV, I was at the university and I had a very hard time. Middle of the second season I lost all my appetite for Trek and some other things which were important until this time for me.
For two years as I feel sick of Brexit, refugee crisis, war on Syria, Greece, European Union, etc. , and was very disappointed from all left/right politicians and institutions.

Most horrible were for me the NGO's and their ethics superiority. I was tired to hear from all sides " you are with us or against us". Then I began to read about those all great men and women
Enlighteners and want to understand how they handle with ignorance, where they get their power to fight against darkness. At the same time, I rediscovered Trek for me as an old good companion. Maybe it is ridiculous/naive (OK, you can laugh

). ENT is for me as an average human being something about hope, something about believe in humanity, something about making own mistakes and learning from them and not just so idealized like TNG.
I think everything is dark enough what we are living in why we need to watch something darker and more serious than this? That's why Orville is popular than DIS imho and maybe that is reason studios want the try again with TNG or with a someone like Tarantino. I do not believe anymore but revived ENT can be a thing, why not?
