A young pimple faced Kirk who's voice hasn't broke.Imagine a show featuring Kirk, one of the most iconic characters in science fiction, reporting to Captain Burnham. Surely they wouldn’t, if only to keep the focus on Burnham.

Nah, the DISCO design is straight out of someone's year one project at fashion school. (B-)They matched the clothes to the Discovery design.

I think mine is more probable. That and also blowing up some planet, say Betazed, proving STD is not Prime.
I just want to see the fan reaction.![]()
But not as much funI think mine is more probable.
I'm not really a fun guy.But not as much fun![]()
Thank you for fixing it. Do I buy him as Pike? Not really.I played around with the Discoprise uniform.

Not me.Pfft.. Betazed...who'd really miss it?![]()

You know, my first reaction to this is that they just wouldn't go there, and if they did it really wouldn't fit what we know of Kirk's history.
But then I thought about it some more, and realized, yeah, they probably would go there, especially if there was a perceived need to give the show a boost. And 2258 isn't necessarily too early for Kirk to be an XO (though it might be pushing it a bit, and it's certainly too early for a captaincy). And we really don't know much (canonically — there's lots in the books) about his career between the Farragut and the Enterprise.
So I guess I wouldn't bet against it...
He's refreshed and ready and energized to decide who lives and who dies.He finally talked to his doctor not his bartender?

Agreed. I'm surprised that they went with such bright colors too instead of the muted style of Where No Man Has Gone Before.Improvement, but I think gold collars would have looked better and fit more in the uniform look of this time period.
The black collar uniforms didn't really roll around on the Enterprise till after Where No Man Has Gone Before.
I need to see more of him before making a decision. I never warmed to Greenwood as Pike, he always reminded more of what April would be like.
That’s my point. It won’t affect story telling much, except for the fact that we now know for sure we are not in Prime and are not bound by its limitations.Pfft.. Betazed...who'd really miss it?![]()
That looks good.I gave it a shot and I actually like it as one solid color.![]()
Since when do people bother with the whole CBS telling us its Prime thing? Pretty sure that was abandoned a while back by "reasonable fans."That’s my point. It won’t affect story telling much, except for the fact that we now know for sure we are not in Prime and are not bound by its limitations.
