Kate Mulgrew - Orange is the New black

I'm curious to know what's happened to explain the report of s6 to the almost end of July while all previous seasons were aired on the end of June.
Anyway, I hope that this new season will not be too dark to watch but well, according to the trailer, I fear that it will be.

I was just looking for when the new season is coming out and turns out that the first episode premiered TODAY, July 11th.

I think I read that Laura Prepon was pregnant and that delayed filming.

Probable. But they finished filming in Dec. So why that would make it July? Maybe there will be a post about that if enough care to know. maybe a promotional interview :D

AHH, maybe it was a post production issue. Those happen.
It might have been a marketing decision. Not enough people could binge out of country during peak vacation or wedding trips.

Maybe although I tend rather for production issues like with the 1st season of ST: Discovery, which was delayed so many times that, at the end, we wondered if the series would ever be aired.
Anyway, let's just hope that this 6th season is good. And then, July 27th is not so far (just 2 weeks to wait) :-)

It's my move week. I can see myself alone on the mattress on the floor. The only thing left to pack is the computer and my tablet. I'll be binge watching until we have to pack that up too.

Danielle Brooks on season 6

TV guide tries to catch you up, but IIRC the proposal was in the closet area of Frieda's hideout, not the pool, so take everything they say with a grain of salt.

I just watched the trailer a clip at a time, and it looks like Lori Petty is back!

I think GoT has made it more acceptable to not consistently release the new season at the same time each year and many shows followed suit. Had to wait four extra months for Saul.

Wentworth is now Sept when it was May. 13 episodes on these series is slightly annoying enough but the hopping of airtime is higher on my annoyance list. I am so spoiled by star trek and its 26 episode seasons heh. I don't two day binge like most. I take almost a monthand still my year feels empty. (I am exaggerating ;) )

I'm trying to decide if sleep deprivation will be worth it at midnight to get one episode in before bed. otherwise I have to wait until 10pm tomorrow. :P

I watched the first episode, really like the opening part with Suzanne's TV hallucinations. Should have seen coming what happened around Piscatella's death. I'm liking it a lot so far.

Curious where they're going with Vause. The 'Inmate casualty' could be referring to Poussey, I'm expecting what's really going on with Vause is she's in PC because what's his name now knows she's alive.

Well, I'm six eps in and need to take a break so I won't finish all 13 today.

If I am disciplined, maybe I can stretch the next 7 over 2 more days.

I am enjoying it so far, but worry how they will "end it" since TPTB need to get one more season out before the series ends. (They are contracted for 7)

The dead inmate is the actual killer of CO Humphfrey, the sick girl in love with the "Time Hump" author, Suzanne.

Most scary thing so far here is their scapegoat quota.

It would be interesting if Chapman ended up getting a long sentence as obviously the real life person she is based on got out on time and wrote a book that was loosely adapted into a series.
