A-type space station

something I started a few months ago. The A-type space station was an installation first introduced on stardate 1/6405.20, shortly after the founding of the United Federation of Planets. They were typically operated by Starfleet in the 22nd century, but their use expanded to Federation allies and associates by the early twenty third century. This type of station was around 1600 meters in diameter and 2200 meters in height. I put some ships I've made over the past year for scale. I'm gonna restart work on it soon so any ideas are welcome.

Update: Began adding detail to the outer ring and the pylons, which included some aztec patterning, thrusters and docking areas. Some areas that I haven't finished but planned out are marked in purple. I am dreading having to add hundreds of thousands of windows to the surface of the station but that time will come eventually. If anyone has ideas

That's a great design! Like a giant gyroscope, but definitely Federation. The shape of the buttresses(?) on the edges of the central core/tower are cool - they remind me a bit of the Chrysler Building. And the spokes look great, too - I like that elongated octagon cross-section.
I have no ideas for you (I'm not very good with the hardware), but I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses.
