I think that clip was meant to be an Easter-egg reference to Death of the Endless from Vertigo's Sandman, though I guess it does mesh with "Boo Normal" too.

Ah thanks.... Was getting somewhat annoyed by that friggin' US trend of cancelling to the left and right...bloody bean counters!

The majority of shows have always gotten cancelled fairly young; we just don't remember most of them because they are so short-lived. A run of 3 seasons is actually above average.

Heck, before Star Trek: The Next Generation, the only American SF/fantasy shows I know of that ever made it more than 5 seasons were Adventures of Superman, Bewitched, and Dark Shadows. When I was growing up, most of the genre shows I watched were cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons, if not less, and those that made it as far as a third or fourth season were the rare successes, while five seasons was exceptional. This generation is much better off when it comes to genre show longevity than I was in my youth.

YES! Go Netflix! Probably an abbreviated season of 13 eppies, but hey that's good enough for a fluffy harmless diversion. Wonder if it'll get darker though...

I don't need "darker," but I would like it to be subtler. Everything on this show is so broad and blatant. It's not just Lucifer himself constantly going to extremes -- every emotional dynamic and character motivation is just baldly stated outright, everything is text with little subtext. It often feels like a caricature of itself. I'd welcome a more measured approach, a more nuanced but still-present humor. And as I said, I'd like more delving into the supernatural elements and larger mythos of the series, a higher ratio of fantasy/comics ideas to cop stuff.

I need to get to work finishing up Season 3. I already heard about what happens with Chloe at the end of the season, so that has very curious to see where things go now.

I haven't watched the "last two from Season 3" the were filmed for Season 4 but Fox burned off before the Netflix pickup. Should I save those for Season 4...wait for someone to watch it and then let us know where to insert or they just totally off random stuff/standalones

They're both standalones that work fine where they are, particularly the latter one.
