But it is amusing that many of the top movie industry commentary YT channels..
Imma stop you right there and ask a question you’ll never likely answer: Why do you put so much stock in YouTube commentators? You realize anyone with a camera and a computer can have a YouTube channel, right? I don’t care about the number of subscribers but that the majority of the people here don’t know who it is you constantly speak of may say something. Not everyone in the world watches YouTube commentary videos. In fact, I’d stand to gather it’s a pretty small part of the population who do. So, yeah, maybe the negativity about Kathleen Kennedy is spreading... in a very small corner of the world. I don’t mean to dismiss your complaint. But I’m just trying to help you gain perspective.
Also why couldn’t this go in your other doom and gloom thread? This is redundant.
Editing to add some perspective to this and other YouTube videos, Kane has posted as being spreading of this KK must go narrative...
I’ve gotta say, those numbers are pretty small. And the one that actually is almost kinda impressive...
You know, approximately, how many tickets The Last Jedi sold? Oh, what the hell... I’ll show you.
67.6 million tickets sold in the U.S. I’ll tell you, if these 1.4 million subscribers to Jeremey Jahns (not all of whom may actually agree with him on TLJ backlash) bought all of the tickets, they’d each be buying about 48 tickets each. If they all hated TLJ as much as you did, they’d be pretty hypocritical. Obviously there are more people out there than you think that have opinions on Star Wars. And sure, maybe some of them didn’t like TLJ, but not enough to go post about it on a forum or watch a YouTube video.
One last point about YouTube channels... YouTube is a niche market. Even the official Star Wars channel only has a small number of subscribers...
Again, I’m not trying to dismiss your argument, but maybe it’s time to see that it’s not shared by as many people as you think.
