And the Next Cancelled Show is...

1600 Penn.

Not to dilute your argument supporting Transgender soldiers but since you brought up old men it is worth showing a little perspective regards the viagra costs. To be fair...

"It is true that some of the erectile dysfunction medication went to active-duty personnel.

But the vast majority went to other groups eligible, including millions of military retirees and their family members. In fact, around 10 million people in total are estimated to be covered by the Pentagon's healthcare system, which cost $52bn in 2012.

It is well known that erectile dysfunction is more common among older men - which would explain a hefty bill for retired service members.

In fact, less than 10% of the prescriptions were for active duty personnel, according to the Military Times."

Would you suggest that the Army shit-cans the erectile dysfunctional, or just cuts their coverage?

West Wing is one of the best dramas ever made and it's a disgrace to even think about DS in it's place.

Madame Secretary is a lot better now, than when it first started. :)

(I think they should continue to support their service men, it's no doubt a complicated issue).

Do you like Madam Secretary? Hubby admires Tea Leoni so I try not to tell him when it's on  Geeze it's smug.

I used to like it fine, but it's just so happy feel good that even the serious moments are 'bleh'. Like all these insane things happens every half season but it never leads anywhere, no one seems to care as soon as the new half season starts. West Wing had things happen and they actually felt like they mattered.

Plus Tea Leoni couldn't act herself out of a paper bag, she is so stiff and wooden. Every seen Deep Impact? She is the worst actor in the movie and that says something because the acting is pretty bad in it.

Remember when this was a topic for canceled shows, those were the days.
Boy, the way Glenn Miller played... ;)

Designated Survivor tried to be a mashup of West Wing and 24, and ended up being the worst parts of both and the best parts of neither.

West Wing was great but no love for "Benson?" Okay that was more state government connected than White House but it's still the same. The show was mostly set in a big White House that the leader lived in. Also Kelsey's Grammar's "The Boss" which was very underrated. It was "House of Cards" before that show was a thing I believe. Which does bring up "House of Cards." I think that easy comes in second next to "West Wing" in this category.

It is interesting to note that during the Bush years we had "West Wing" with a president whose defining characteristic was his intellectual depth. During the trump years we get, at least for a while, in "Designated Survivor" a president whose defining characteristic is his basic decency. As a counterpoint, the Obama years gave us the most corrupt fictional president ever-Frank Underwood.

HECK YEAH!!!

Probably because of the Roseanne mess ABC is looking into giving Sue Heck from The Middle her own show!!!!

IS she the teenage girl on the show? I have never seen that show. My impression was that it was a "Malcolm in the MIddle" type of show.

I can't remember if I have seen Deep Impact. Her acting kind of fits a political role though, most politicians are stiff.

But not their transgender Service People?
All their Service People. A President who doesn't understand that kind of willingness for sacrifice and reduces patriotism to issues of budget and bigotry, who discriminates against any human being wanting to fulfil service and who ignores the leaders of his military, is indeed being a dick.

Not stiff.

Drunk?

Not completely, just tipsy.

She mumbles like Marlon Brando.

Besides, on the other side of the nuptial bed, you have Tim Dally as a super spy running around the Middle east and Russia as a counter point to her diplomacy.

Sara Ramirez just joined the cast as an LGBT character, but hasn't made a big splash yet.

The kids are not terrible.

The eldest-blonde one keeps picking awful boyfriends though.

She does have that drawl thing going on.

Tim and Tyne, what a family :)

Never saw DS, but I miss WW horribly. It harkened to an earlier mythical time where people of different political stripes could still talk to one another without the need to belittle and dehumanize those of differing opinions and compromise wasn't considered a bad word. Did such a time ever really exist? My memory is hazy on that.

I love Deep Impact, but that's kind of my point. The world is ending and she still can't act.

However you are right, her lack of acting skill fits fine with her political role.
