Do you think there was a race even more powerful than the Q?

And by that I mean a race that is so powerful that they look at the Q the same way that the Q looks at humans!

There were a lot of higher powered races in Trek and highly advanced civilizations that either controlled or killed their 'gods'. There was the Thasians, the Metrons, the Organians, just to mention a few.

Star Trek Novel Hierarchy:
1. Them, above all in existence (Q&A)
2. The P Continuum, can command the Q (Spock vs. Q)
3. The Q Continuum
4. The M Continuum, almost equal in power to the Q (I, Q)
5. Most of the silly little non-corporeals, like the Douwd, Organians, Thasians, and a few others, in various degrees.

...

~943. Humans

You missed the Omega Continuum, in balance and thus on par with the Q at no.3 (VOY: The Eternal Tide)

God.

And no, I don't mean that disembodied head from ST V. I actually mean God Himself.

(In one Trek novel - can't remember which one - Q actually does claim to have met God, and relates the tale with such a completely straight face that even Picard gets chills.)

Which one? Or is Q stating that there is only one true God?

Mastery of time and space, life and death, redefine universal constants on a whim. What was it that they could not do?

I don't know, but we do have this Quinn quote (Voyager, Deathwish):

But you mustn't think of us as omnipotent, no matter what the Continuum would like you to believe. You and your ship seem incredibly powerful to lifeforms without your technical expertise. It's no different with us. We may appear omnipotent to you, but believe me, we're not.

I see no reason to believe Quinn was lying at that moment - to what possible purpose would he? I would rather take Quinn's statements at face value than 'our' Q's.

Also, there is that episode in which that female Q cannot return to the Continuum under her own power but needs Voyager to do so- that at least suggests that their powers can be blocked by something else than a conscious decision of another (group of) Q.

The collective of Q, as a whole, could be considered omnipotent.

Just like with the Founders, when in their Great Link are an organism of sorts, so too might be the Q Continuum, & that's what they mean by omnipotent
