Which discrepancies are you referring to?

If they had access to Voyager's computer memory (which is inexplicable given that Voyager went away and they didn't even know if it got home or not) wouldn't they also have had an accurate description of the crew?

I would guess they had some small piece of tech with some bits of information. Not a complete picture but small fragments.

All that works too. I did expect he'd have to question the Kazon way in order to do the things he did to leave them and join Voyager. There's a lot of growth there for him.
I do wonder at what role he'd play on the ship. Possibly he could act as a guide as Neelix did - perhaps he was assistant navigator on the Kazon's ship. I can't see him running the mess hall, but Kes could take that over.
This is an idea I've had for years, I'm glad some people like it.

He'd know a lot of space, so a guide would make sense, he could also be handy with a box of bandages and maybe gets trained as the EMH's assistant and combat medic--a nice departure for a "rough, warrior race" to be portrayed in a less aggressive role. Kes as the ship's cook, morale officer and hydroponics gardener would also be a good fit.

Not sure who would be a good actor for him, but he'd need to have great arms (can't imagine him wearing sleeves very often, lol).

I was thinking Tyr from Andromeda for the Kazon. He'd have the build for it, and he can play a warrior while still being a total dreamboat.
Kes as ship's cook, morale officer and gardner while the Kazon was a medic would be a nice fit. He could fill in on the odd security shift as well, but medic is nicely unexpected and could make a nice comedy duo with the Doctor as I could see them not getting along.

You believe every scrap of equipment that Voyager left behind (I guess after an explosion or something) contains a fragment of Voyager's database? That seems very unlikely.

Depends on what they found. If it was a Padd it would have some information. The guy in the museum was able to create a fairly accurate representaiton of the ship so they had to have some information.

This only tells me one thing: Most Voyager episodes are better-left unanalyzed. Because the more you do think about them the less sense they make.

I disagree completely. Yes there are the occasional loose ends but discussing them and digging deeper has giving me a much greater appreciation for the show.

If your method of analysing dramatic art consists of appraising the furniture used on on stage, then you might not be digging very deeply to begin with.

However, FWIW, their recreation was inaccurate. It was assembled from historical accounts, and data from Voyager found after the incident. The curator was very proud of his work, and described how great an effort it was.

In Living Witness the races were technologically advanced enough to travel in space when Voyager arrived. I imagine they have records from back then about the region. The story of Voyager was altered to suit the political agenda of the time and it stuck. That was my impression.

Ok, then how does the society of "dreamers" work? These people sleep all day so who does the work on their planet? Who puts clothes on then, feeds them, bathe them etc...

Not to mention the growing of crops, the mining of ores etc....

    It doesn't make any sense.

About the people who get younger as they grow old? How the hell does it work, ever thought of that?

The macro-viruses gets very big very quick yet don't eat anything!

And there are many more where those came from.

did they say that 100% of their population slept 100% of the time? may be some of them sleep and some of them do things and then they rotate.

The reverse aging...maybe they start as larva and then form a cocoon. They emerge as adults and then age "backwards"

The macro virus could possibly take in energy from other sourses besides food. They could absorb energy from light.

As for the reverse aging they did that on Mork and Mindy. They start out in cocoons, are born old and reverse age.

If people rotate then what are the odds of Chakotay getting to the sleeping beauties without anybody intercepting him?

Emerge as little larva from the wombs of the middle-aged ones and then the larva would grow to the size of old adults? Ok, but they are obviously mammalians in nature and that's not how mammals reproduce, for one thing, why would they have breasts in that scenario?

The virus feeding on light to increase in size is completely implausible. The equation E=MC2 tells us that it takes an incredible amount of light for an increase of mass of only one kilogram, more than enough light to vaporize Voyager in a micro-second.
