I disagree. This is going to be a trainwreck from everything I've heard

I disagree.
I haven't been yet.I hope you're not disappointed.
Why?
This form of "soft" marketing is a brilliant way to bring things to fans attention and increase the "buzz" around a production.
I imagine it can also allow a production to drive the narrative and not speculative click-shite sites.
It just seems like a lot of productions are so spoilerphobic these days that they only let a very very limited amount of information out, and when they do it seems to just be a handful of pics and one or two trailers.Since nothing could be considered "spoilers," except in the strictest sense (i.e. there is a Solo movie coming out and it involves fighters) why would LFL and Disney object?

Nothing especially spoilerly to be had here.It just seems like a lot of productions are so spoilerphobic these days that they only let a very very limited amount of information out, and when they do it seems to just be a handful of pics and one or two trailers.
I go to a movie theater, eat popcorn and have fun.I hope you're not disappointed.

You misunderstood. I'm not interested in watching it.

Some might say that my bar is low, but honestly, I always thought movies were supposed to be fun.

Not necessarily, most of the official stuff usually comes from the movie or studio's social media pages. That sounds exactly like how things would have been before the advent of the internet and social media.
I'm assuming that's the only reason it's been happening.Nothing especially spoilerly to be had here.

Same here. The Falcon is iconic and I love seeing her in actionI am actually pretty psyched up about Solo. I think most of it has to do with seeing the Falcon on the big screen, I can never get too much of that.
Maybe after the film I will like Solo more as a character.
Certainly think the Falcon looks better.
Han has been overdone for me, so I am truly hoping this film reintroduces him to me in a way that is less irritating and more engaging.Han is one of my favorite characters, then again I've always been into the criminal underworld of Star Wars. Gambling, smuggling, will be fun to actually see some of this stuff instead of only being referenced to establish a character.
