Made the cutout on the inner sides of the nacelles glow. 
It's clearly an imposter, because the NCC-1701 of this time period looks like this:

That's not the ship in STD - for one thing, it hasn't been rubbed down with random streaks of black shoe polish.

Yes, the universe was black and white back then. Only recently has the universe grown colorful. This is solid proof that wasn't really the Enterprise in Discovery.

And the other windows on the rim of the saucer look right as well. Except for the glowing inner chiller bars/grills on the nacelles and the pylons she looks more or less right.

I think I read somewhere that they intended for them to glow in TOS but couldn’t for some reason.
I'm with you on that. I don't dislike it, but it still feels too clunky and 60s-ish. Still, I don't mind it.
