I think that's the most popular disguise choice when you're sneaking around Qo'nos. Happened in Into Darkness, its happening again in Discovery.

Are the planet scenes on Qo'nos? The flyover from last week's preview looked very cool. Lots of neon signage popping out of the darkness. I can't imagine it being anywhere else but Qo'nos.
I guess...... because of the Augment forehead thing, it is easy for humans to 'blend in' on the Klingon Homeworld?
The scenes with Burnham and Sarek look like they are at some kind of Federation shopping mall of the 1970s.
Interesting that they were shooting these scenes as recently as October 2017 (on the plates).
