Senator Cretak

I'd like to think she has enough political savvy and sway to keep herself alive and following the Shinzon 'incident' manages to reclaim some of her former power.

Usually known as Nevesa - I think that's the CBS sanctioned name.

Actually the Romulan commander has no official name. She's been given MANY names in the various novels, but in the 'novelverse' that's sprung up in the last few years, they've settled on Charvanek.

That's interesting, I noticed the Timelines mobile game went with Nevesa. You'd have thought the CBS brand manager would have that lined up.

How do you pronounce Charvanek?
"Char" like "charred" steak
Karvanek like "Christ"
or Harvanek with a harder, guttural, "H"?

Actually I believe she had some other names in various publications over the years. I remember one satire in which she said her name was trampolina.

I know they never used to be, but I thought CBS had clamped down on that recently.
Nope, not at all. We still have STO and the novel continuity offering very different takes on the post-Nemesis timeline, along with IDW doing their own thing. Hell, now we have Titan Publishing's Autobiographies of Kirk, Picard and soon Spock which are a whole new continuity on themselves.
