I think people are getting too hung up on Isaacs. I actually think the episode was better for him not being there. It seemed like the whole rest of the cast was able to breathe more.

The first two episodes were too poor to miss him and since then his presence was all the show was. I'm convinced that the series will be better in the long-run with him gone and I hope they don't bring him back -- save for a one-off further down the road or something.

I still don’t get why the Emperor has to be captain? I don’t see any self respect Starfleet officer allowing that to happen.

That was more of the character, Lorca didn’t think of the crew as anything other then tools, he gave them orders and that was that. There was no dynamic because he didn’t want one

I don't think I liked this episode that much. the scenes between tyler and Michael were way overly dramatic.. I just want them to get to the end already however they're gonna get there..

It’s war, and she’s a warrior. They need someone who knows how to fight the Klingons,

Consultant perhaps but not captain. That seems too much.

Neither did Burnham at the start, but she'll probably wind up a captain.

I do think he overshadowed the rest of the show, but what does that say about the rest of the show?

Not sure that taking out the best part so everything else looks better is a winning strategy.

I was waiting for Cromwell to mention something about the Enterprise or the Farragut when she was listing events during the nine months.

I guess considering they gave MU Georgiou a fucking command that reinstating Ash wouldn't be beyond the pale for this show.

Agreed, she is supposed to be arrested and exiled into the Federation's equivalent of Guantanamo, for all the atrocities and genocide she caused as Emperor of the Terran Empire.

However, this is Discovery-verse, not the logical Trek verse, so it is what it is :sigh:...

He could end up as the head of Starfleet. Aim high, Klingon spy!

Can the Federation punish her for acts she committed in her own universe? That seems like it would SERIOUSLY break the prime directive. I don't feel like you can hold people from other realities accountable to your morals until they are commiting those crimes in your universe.

If nothing else, he should have a great future working as an interpreter, considering he speaks Klingon fluently, and the universal translator apparently isn't quite universal yet.

I don’t think they would go that far. They would isolate her and try to find a way to get her back. The Federation wouldn’t have jurisdiction on crimes she committed in another universe.

No crew members on the ship save for Saru, Burnham, Tyler abd who ever was in the transporter room know the truth.

    It’s a cover.

The preview clip shows her having an inappropriate (and silly) conversation that looks like she's quite in command.

As an aside, can anyone figure out what the hell is going on in the trailer for next week? It seemed almost like they were going undercover, given they were in civilian clothes. But I don't know how humans could go undercover on Qo'noS.
