Would a Reunion Be Out of The Question?

@Tomalak : just because something is put on screen doesn't make it canon if it's totally illogical, stupid and out of character. And just throwing a line about Data aging without his body being greatly modified is completely illogical. But I guess that's an endless debate...

It's not really a debate, it's just the reality. There are plenty of illogical, stupid and out of character things within the Trek canon. If it's on screen, it's canon.

but that would be rather ridiculous and out of character to have a 70-years-old looking B-4...That'd be the same problem with a possible return of Data in a future movie or series. IMHO, performance capture with CG edition (like what was made for Leia in the last SW movie) would be the ultimate way to go if any Soong-type android should come back on TV/theaters. I honestly can't imagine any new live actor portraying Data/Lore/B-4, that'd feel so weird !

I'll throw a slightly out of the box suggestion out there - Why not just simplify the problem and have Brent be the voice of the Enterprise computer or simply an accessible program within it? Make up some throwaway line about Data's programs being copied/salvaged from B-4 when its matrix broke down after Nemesis, and let it be a voice-only character?

Data as the Enterprise's sentient computer is a brilliant idea.

I think it would be interesting in a manner of speaking for them to present another film with the cast, or some of the characters from TNG. However a few things;

Spiner is likely never going to do another TNG film as Data. He was saying even back during the early aughts (Nemesis) that he was too old for the role.

The cast, even if fully assembled, would command pretty hefty salaries. Stewart alone would probably cost a fortune.

TNG had a terrific sendoff with "All Good Things". The movies ranged from fairly good to awful. The new movies, even with new writers and directors (and actors) have been pretty much in the same range quality-wise.

I don't think that we will ever see a pure, straight ahead, full-cast TNG reunion. I could potentially see some TNG characters showing up in a movie, but I think the TNG film series is done for good.

I don't think there is a need for TNG reunion, unless is wipes out everything that has happened after 'All Good Things...' and creates a new time line where the movies never happened.

I love Marina Sirtis, OK? Deanna Troi's character helped define TNG and where would we be today without the term ... "Imzadi"? And, of course, Marina was very sexy in the 80's and this went past no-one. But yeah ... come TATV, she was beefy and I'm not trying to make fun, or judge. It's just what existed ... her ass really got big! You try to be gentlemanly about such things, but when I'm with someone and she starts packing on the pounds in her complacency ... my interest level decreases, proportionately, until she spots me around town, with another woman. And you're right about her not being alone in that: Jonathan Frakes bloated out, just like The Shat did! And yet, they both made the effort to youthify themselves as much as they could, to serve up some fanboy wankery, one last time on STAR TREK and my hat's off to Frakes & Sirtis.
