I'm pro-Welfare, pro-immigration, pro-free higher education and pro-higher taxes. A society functions better when we all work together.
Are you under 30? I'm not been funny I'm just wondering.

Its not the government's money, its taxpayers money. The small minority who abuse the system, are just that a small minority, don't believe everything the Daily Mail tells you. The largest recipients of 'welfare' are retired people getting the state pension. The problem with welfare is if the government is to generous with it the people on it end up better off than those paying for it.
Like the UK pre-2010.

Whenever I come across somebody claiming that people in welfare have it too good, I like to ask them why they're still working then.
Indeed, but they're protected from harm by any party as they're the only demographic that religiously votes.
yeah and that job seekers allowance really makes you live life to the fullest!Indeed. I was on benefits pre-2010 and in no way shape or form was I well off by any stretch of the imagination.
I know people who work the system and I still don't want to live their life because I earn more than minimum wage, my standard of living is still higher than theirs.Whenever I come across somebody claiming that people in welfare have it too good, I like to ask them why they're still working then.
And they are a growing demographic cos one day everyone is going to get old. (People need to either make more babies or bring in more immigrants....guess which one is the least popular).

Better wages, lower rents, those are what are needed not demonising people for claiming benefits.
Places where there are cycles of deprivations have been ignored by the system for decades re former mill working towns. There is also a class/racial element as well, the industries that the traditional white working class used to do no longer exist and the new service industries, well there is a reason its mainly immigrants doing them.I agree we desperately need rent control. I refuse to believe the people not working because they simple don't want to is as low as the left claim. Also yes people should be having kids but it only works if they have jobs and are paying NI, if they go on the dole at 18 because it's what mamma did that what they will do too. Cycle of deprivation and all that.
They have been convinced their bogey man is the Polish/Romanian guy hundreds of miles away in another city..say London. The irony is the places where the only known foreigner is on the T.V voted to leave the EU, the most diverse parts of the country did not.I would have sympathy if Sunderland (which is where I am from) didn't vote to leave the EU despite it's one large employer being massively dependant on it, and other factories that supply only said mass employer being littered all around the city.
