Victor's history with Logan never came up because there was no reason for it to.

Same thing applies to Charles' history with Raven.

I think most people are okay with it. But that doesn't mean it can't be talked about or pointed out.

^ If people were okay with it, it wouldn't be talked about, so the logic of your argument doesn't make sense.

That's the most absurd thing I've read in a long time. People only talk about things they don't like?

In this particular case, yes, because the supposed "discontinuity" of the XMCU is only ever brought up as a way to cast aspersions on the franchise.

Hm, so a big problem with a franchise is only brought up when talking about the problems a franchise has? As opposed to, what, being brought up when talking about the franchise's good points? :vulcan:

Also, it sure as heck isn't a "supposed" discontinuity.

Frankly, rationalizing the bits that don't fully fit together is one of my favorite parts.

I think that's pretty much the de facto 'franchise position' at this point. They only ever called the Origins character Emma Frost in promotional material, not in the film itself, and the First Class character is clearly meant to be a different person, not to mention the Origins character displayed no psychic abilities whatsoever.

I'm not sure how we can really make that judgment, given how little we see of the timeline/universe at that point. The Narada arrives pretty much immediately when the film starts, and it's not like 2233 was a time point we knew a hell of a lot about previously.

The USS Kelvin was built before the Narada arrived.

I'd be interested in seeing that (certainly more so than films on Gambit and Multiple Man), especially if Ellen Page returns in the role.

Yeah, of all the new solo spin-off movies that has been discussed, this is the one that I find most interesting.

But will it be a young Kitty (get Millie Bobby Brown... now!) or Ellen Page Kitty? I'm interested any way, screw Gambit and Multiple Guy.

They're only willing to do these "outside the box" movies now that the Disney deal is done and it doesn't matter anymore...cowards.

^ Disney has no control over or impact on what FOX is putting in play as far as the XMCU is concerned, and won't until at least next year.

Ooo...Millie Bobby Brown as a young Kitty would be a suitable alternative to Ellen Page. :bolian:

Doesn't change that they didn't bother thinking up these movies, which go outside their conservative ways, until they knew that they were going to be out of there in about a year.

Doesn't make a whole lot of difference though does it ? Not unless there's a chance any of these unmade projects will be tweaked and folded into the MCU.

I think it's a near certainty that Deadpool and it's cast will port over pretty much intact - especially as they haven't even used the same Colossus as in the X-Men movies, but I think that's the only one. Interestingly, Deadpool will be aware of this too !

A full reboot of the core title is more than likely and I very much doubt either the FF movie, Legion or The Gifted will see daylight post Disney.
