Making sense of Discovery's Klingon Starships...

Compare all of @Atolm ’s beautiful designs with these so called "Klingon ships". :barf:
Please let's not go there. You are obviously entitled to your opinion (and I know that you are not the only one feeling that way about the (Klingon) designs in Discovery), but I have (A) no real desire to drag that whole argument and all it entails from the Discovery forum to this one and I feel that (B) even though the artists working on Discovery might not be members at the Trek BBS, we as fellow artists owe them at least a modicum of respect when we talk about their work. Again, you don't have to like what they are doing and you are free to say so, but I would appreciate a less crass mode of expression.

Please, allow me to rephrase my opinion then into something less coarse:

Compare all of @Atolm’s beautiful designs with these Klingon ships.

I had the same thoughts but, I'd want a few more views/angles on each before I'd dare try!

Eh, I think those 3/4 views are enough to go by. You'd have to wind up massaging the details during the build anyhow. I say, let's go for it!

I've already saved these pics to my Star Trek folder* and am putting them in my (way too long) "to build" queue.

__________
* Actually it's in Movies and TV>Star Trek>TOS>Ships>Atolm's Klingons. I hope I'm not the only one who saves way too many pictures to his hard drive.

No, you're not. I start using Google Drive for some just to make sure I have space.

Since I am a big fan of starship design, these ones often make their way as well ;)

This is really, really great work. Pardon me if I've missed it, but are you using Prismacolor markers?

thanks a lot mate. I use whatever I can get my hands on. with these I used sharpies, a pilot precise v5 red pen, some prismas, some trias a few staedler pens, a crayola marker sea green, and a chartpak. All markers are useful, you just need to know their proficiencies and faults, and when and when not to use them. So it really depends on what you wish to achieve.

^ Don't worry, just wave your hand and say "Atolm did not see that comment" and all will be well...

(Or is that from another franchise?)
