    Fine.

In my ever so humble opinion, Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi is a stinking, steaming, apocryphal, franchise killing pile of shit. Based on characters and situations created by Rian Johnson.

I can do this all day but to be honest I'm kinda bored. Even in such a high minded thread as one dedicated to pinning the blame for Episode VIII on George Lucas. And though I'm glad to see people are at least starting to acknowledge that there is blame, Going down that old road isn't just petty; It's fucking stupid.

I wonder what movie you saw, because it certainly doesn't sound like the one I, and apparently quite a few other people, saw.

Please don't try and be a victim here. There's more than enough people who liked or even loved this movie, and you feel the need to shout that god knows what about it. You don't even offer an opinion or talk like an adult, you basicly barge eat and shout like a child that your party was pooped on. And you want sympathy? Please.... grow up.

That’s because you know what ‘apocryphal’ means.

And aren’t trying to polish “NOT MY STAR WARZ!!!” into gold.

He DID say he felt like he had sold his children to white slavers (then promptly retracted it when he realized he spoke his mind on air)

Found this interesting video that articulates my point about #notmystarwars and the hyperbolic rage better than I can really express. Largely, the idea that the fact that Johnson changed things is part of the film's overall purpose and the backlash is reflective of the "comfort food" level that the films have reached.

I'm not saying everyone must love this movie!!! All I'm saying is, be aware of persona preconceptions that shape the view of this film.

Is it balance, or corruption of the Force.

He's raging at the force, and doesn't care. Here's a more balanced balancing of the force, with a lot less evil-

Awesome movie...already seen it twice and scheduling a third with my buddy and our kids (who haven't seen it yet).

I hope my money tells Disney that despite the whining...they've done something right here and should continue to take the franchise in new and more challenging directions, rather than the safe and same-old-same-old stuff.

Jesus Holdo Carissian that video is insufferable. Can't go on. Stopped after point 3. Just repeating himself over and over as if that makes his point stronger. Why do the people who agree with me on it just being a simply badly executed story also have to be babies about the shit that doesn't matter?

They've endured worse so I think it will be ok and Abrams will continue forward with what Johnson laid out in this film.

The concept of Luke being a "hermit" was the least of the sequel trilogy's problems. If Lucas had been more heavily involved in making decisions for this new trilogy, it probably would have been better.

The writing and characters in the prequel trilogy (despite their faults) were superior to anything we have seen in this new trilogy.

I agree with you, and I have the same problem with people who attack fans who don't like the new movies.

To me the ST is worst Star Wars trilogy, but in the end they are only movies.

Finn and Poe are better written and acted characters then Anakin or Padme.

    Thank you

Those characters are overacted and uninteresting. Finn's character doesn't even make sense. You wouldn't expect someone who was bred and raised to be a storm trooper to be so upbeat and enthusiastic. You would expect them to be more stoic.
