Old phrases you want to make a comeback.

I'm particularly fond of the old-timey phrase, "Thank you." Don't hear that antiquated phrase much these days.

Oh, and get off my lawn.

You don't hear Thank you" that much? I use it all the time. One I haven't heard much though is "Pardon Me."

Where as where I am, I hear it (or thanks, or cheers) and use it whenever it's applicable.

I got a bone to pick with you.

That's a wrap.

I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!

Back to the salt mines.

Move it or loose it.

I got 5 to start with

1 Smell you later.

2 Yo Yo Yo what's up!

3 Hey, Bill the 90s called and they want your jeans back or any similar paraphrasing.

4 Talk to the hand.

5 Your momma jokes.

Jason
These are all from like 15-20 years ago... that's old?
When I saw this thread I was more thinking along the lines of "fiddlesticks" or "pell-mell"... but those are probably considered flat-out archaic by now.

I like the word "Jamoke".

That should come back.

"What do I look like, a jamoke?"

I agree. Jamoke isn't used enough. I sprinkle it in here and there but not often enough.

I also like to use "howdy" when greeting folks because (1) it's different and (2) I'm a little weird :D
