Spoilers DC TV Arrow/Flash Universe Crossover Discussion

In the real world the Nazi's didn't have a problem using convoluted logic to include others that you would think would be excluded if it was politically expedient. The alliance with Japan being the most obvious example. The Nazis would be free to turn on these groups when their usefulness had been exhausted.

You were right in both respects - that the Nazis allied with Japan during WW2 and that they would have turned on them eventually. Hypothetically speaking, however, there would've been no reason for the Reich to ally itself with a secret society of assassins (such a small group, even if the membership was in the thousands), unless the Fuhrer saw an opportunity to profit from the League.

I really loved the 4-parter. I also waited and watched all 4 episodes, together instead of waiting a day. As for repeats I wouldn't be shocked if the dvd's or blue-rays have all the episodes on them no matter which boxset you get. Sometimes you see things like that such as the final X-fIles Lone Gunmen episode being on the "Lone Gunmen" dvd's mostly because the x-files episodes was basically that shows series final.

I also cried when Stein died and I think Jax is going to have some deep depression because by giving him the drug that almost feels like a assisted suicide. I was kind surpirsed that Snark was gay. I don't think that was ever mentioned with the Earth-1 Snark unless I am forgetting something. I know the actor is gay so I imagine he must have enjoyed bringing that angle to the character. One really nitpick that might sound stupid by why would construction workers be working on building a new building at night? Not only is it dangerous but it seems like something people just wouldn't want to do and would rather be at home and then go to work the next day.

Really? The ceremony was interrupted pretty early on. All the guests got to see was the bride walk down the isle, the preacher say a few words and then Nazis blew up the place.
They were at the "If anyone here knows any reason these two should not be married, speak now..." part of the ceremony. So, it was almost over.

...except for skipping over the "I do" part, which is pretty much the only part of the ceremony that has legal weight. Oliver and Felicity said "I do." Barry and Iris didn't (and Barry had somebody--I assume a time traveler--remind him about that very thing)...

That was fun alright!
Ok, it had a few plot holes but not sure if it is possible not to have any in a 4 shows crossover while including almost all of the casts.
I would love to be a fly on the producers' wall while they were planning/orchestrating the whole thing. Oh the logistic nightmares, I can only imagine.

Stein 's death didnt really impact me, since I knew the actor would leave and it wasnt a shock, plus dunno..Jax cries so ugly and the scene was so long...ended up being awkward for me.
Still, I will miss the Professor.

My only issue was with Flash letting Thawne go. Actually Thawne should not be there and the whole "time travel no time to explain" excuse of his presence was frustrating. Can we just get rid of this villain? For good I mean.

I still dont really get snart remaining on Earth1. If both his boyfriend(who was from there) and he stayed that would make sense to me, but just him?

I also wish the Fuhrer was not Oliver. Should have been Billy Joel :)

I was responding to the post saying it was early in the ceremony when the attack started.
Not whether or not they said I do.

I wish that, instead of these brief "behind-the-scenes" YouTube videos that are mostly just publicity interviews and veiled advertising, they'd do a full-on, half-hour making-of special.

There was no indication that the original Snart was gay. We know Sara is bi. In fact, didn't he and Sara kiss at one point? The construction crew most likely was not unionized, so their hours and working conditions didn't matter to the management.

Uh!?! The "does anyone have any reason" always happens at the start of a wedding. And, watching the scene, we see Iris walk down the isle, the preacher comment on how happy everyone looked and then asked the question. So, it was at the very start of the ceremony. So, no, the ceremony was far from over. There was still communion, the preacher's sermon to the couple, the vows, the "I dos", the final kiss and the "I present you husband and wife" etc...

I found it funny that they were using MP40s, except with a modern day scope.
Seeing as in real life we are using an almost 60 year old basic weapon with a shorter butt stock and scope I figured 20 more years is a drop in the bucket. Especially for a SS police force, there being no panzers as part of the invasion. What bugged me was the form a line and go hand to hand tactics of the musket era that everyone, heroes and cops who engaged the Nazis and fell seemed to be using

To this entire debate about how fast the real US military force can get alerted and send combat units to a US city because what looked like neo Nazis going on a terrorist spree killing. Well the US Military still haven't initiated an alert. Much less local National Guardsmen seeing a news account and going to an armory on their own initiative as happened during the Rodney King riots. And giving the show time of the heroes reaction they probably would have beaten local SWAT teams getting into action. I don't watch these shows enough to know if the Flash Arrow world has a force like on Supergirl's world ready to immediately respond to the weird.

They basically had Agent Smith's Men in Black, as seen in "Invasion!" and "Phone Home," though they're mainly focused on aliens (specifically Dominators). And I guess ARGUS, to an extent. Last year, Supergirl did some talking with President Brayden about setting up an Earth-1 DEO, but we haven't heard any followup on that.

Here's a thought -- when we cut to the evil Waverider attacking Central City, it was already in progress. Maybe the ship took out the local military base first.

Will the many implications of this series filter through to the individual shows? For one thing, it seems to me that Ollie could make use of a conveniently dead gangbanger, er, doppelganger body to get around the whole "Is he the Green Arrow?" business. Not exactly sure how, mind you, but it does seem possible. And how Supergirl be explained on a world she's not native to?

Well, some of them obviously would -- two weddings and a funeral -- but I think a lot of them won't.

And how Supergirl be explained on a world she's not native to?

She was there last year for the Dominator invasion, and even got honored by the President, though not publicly, it seems.

Anyway, part of the deal with superheroes is that the general public doesn't usually know who they are or where they come from. Supergirl would be just one more mystery hero who shows up from time to time and then vanishes to parts unknown.

It just occurred to me: The reason for the invasion was to steal Supergirl's heart (err, literally, not romantically). So if Kara hadn't had her spur-of-the-moment impulse to accept the invitation to the wedding (which I assume Cisco delivered by breach mail), would the Nazis have invaded Earth-38 instead, while Barry and Iris's wedding went off without a hitch?
